00:00 down. What did you view is as the difference in the game? Um, overall, um,
00:06 I thought we paced with them pretty well. Um, especially in the first half.
00:11 They, uh, you know, I took a bow made on me for, um, Carter made some threes.
00:18 I mean, they shot it, uh, obviously exceptionally well tonight and against
00:21 with the amount of pressure they put on the paint. Um, you know, you if they
00:26 shoot it like that, they're like really hard to turn off. Obviously, there's
00:29 some things that we could have controlled better. Um, so it was a
00:33 little bit of that, but mostly that they were really good. But we got some
00:36 good cracks offensively. I liked how we played, thought we executed the game
00:40 plan for the most part on that end of the floor. Um, and it reflected in our
00:43 offensive night, but obviously not enough to pace with them. She had a
00:48 career high and assists tonight, and he seemed to be able to get a couple lobs
00:53 to guys on a little bit of a different looking lob. What are you noticing from
00:58 him as he's executing some of those those picking roles and picking out
01:01 passes? Yeah, I thought. I mean, they're a sophisticated team, and I
01:04 thought they they gave him different coverages based on who was in the
01:08 action with him. Um, so he saw some stuff at the level, you know, take it
01:12 out of his hands. He saw some drop and he saw some switching within the same
01:15 game, and I thought he calibrated to that pretty well, obviously. And then,
01:20 you know, with the assists, I thought, like his end of quarter management in
01:23 the third, you know, we got those back to back threes. He created both of
01:25 those plays. Um, you know, that's a huge part of the game for a point guard,
01:30 and he executed that really well. So he did a lot of good things again tonight
01:34 against a really quality opponent. He continues to play at a really, really
01:38 high level.
01:38 Paris Lawson, O. K. C. Thunder dot com career high for Lindy tonight seemed
01:43 like he was playing really comfortably out there. Just what did you see from
01:46 him tonight? And where have you seen him? The more comfortable in just his
01:50 10th game with you guys? Yeah, he shot it. Well, good floor game tonight, you
01:54 know, down the stretch there. I forget who he passed to, but he's got like a
01:57 decent look and he kicks it to the next guy, even though he's having a really
02:00 good night on. That's what's impressive about him is he knows how to play the
02:04 game and then defensively he's doing enough right now to keep himself on the
02:07 floor and blend in. He didn't. He didn't get a ton of shots in some of his
02:11 stretches, but was able to kind of stay out there, play the schemes, execute
02:15 the stuff on. Then when he get his cracks, he made him s O continues to be
02:19 impressive.
02:23 Joe Masato, the Oklahoman mark just with as many guys as you're down and
02:27 some key defenders that you're down. Is that just sort of catching up with you?
02:31 I know there are great options of team, but just in these last few games,
02:34 defense hasn't been what it was earlier in the season. Um, a combination of
02:39 things. I mean, we're better defense when we have Lou, you know, that's
02:42 obvious. Better defense when we have K. Rich, that's obvious. Um, even
02:46 Mascala, you know, so there's there's an element of that, but we're also a
02:50 team defense. We've also had a couple of good defensive games mixed in there.
02:54 Um, and so we're capable, but it's gonna require like sharper execution,
02:59 better effort, um, more togetherness, more competitiveness in order for us to
03:03 sustain that level. We're capable of that. Um, and we have to kind of learn
03:07 the lessons. You know, it's not an excuse. Um, and if you know, a lot of
03:10 these guys are trying to make their way and you've got to be able to play both
03:14 ends of the floor. And so, um, everyone's got the opportunity to do
03:17 that right now, and we're gonna keep pushing. And sorry, I should have asked
03:21 this pre game, but just want to clarify on lose injury. Can you tell us when he
03:25 sustained that? And also, was it diagnosed at that time as a torn labrum
03:31 just because it was on the injury report? Um, and I know you're not
03:34 filling those out. It was a, uh, a strain, I think. Um, well, he we
03:40 probably listed that until he M. R. I'd. Um, he was not. If I remember
03:45 correctly, there was something in the Chicago game, and then maybe we went to
03:50 Brooklyn, New York.
03:51 Yep. And then where do we go from there? New York. So he was like a later
03:57 scratch in the New York game because he was getting some pain in the morning. I
04:01 remember we did our film session, um, that morning, and we thought he was
04:06 playing, and then he continued to have pain, and they checked him out. So I
04:10 don't know if it was something that happened in the Chicago game. I do know
04:13 laboral tears. I actually little known fact. I have a torn labrum from years
04:18 ago, so laboral tears can happen kind of over time, and then something can
04:22 make it more cute. I would assume that's what happened, but I'm not sure.
04:25 Interselected the athletic. You want to learn more about my laboral tear? Tell
04:32 me more about that labor. Um, I'm curious about poker. We've talked a
04:37 lot about him competing and how that's been a theme, but I just want to know
04:40 offensively. Just what have you seen from him? That's that's different.
04:45 Maybe even from last year. Uh, he seems to be simplifying things quite a bit,
04:50 but I just want to see. Want to know from your angle what you see. I'd
04:53 agree with that assessment. First of all, I think some of it is physical.
04:57 You know, I just think you can't discount, um, the additional strength
05:02 and the impact that that's had on his overall like balance, uh, both on his
05:06 drive. You know, he's obviously getting to the paint way more like the and
05:09 one he had or the file he got drawn tonight. Um, he's more balanced on his
05:13 shots. Um, and then, like I mentioned before, the physical element of his
05:18 durability. I mean, it's a long season when you're kind of that frame, and
05:21 he's significantly stronger and more put together and more able to handle
05:26 the rigors of the season this year than last year. So there's a huge element
05:29 of that, and he's worked hard on that. So I want to make sure I acknowledge
05:32 that. And then I think he's just simplified his decision making. Um, he
05:36 was kind of like a slot machine last year, where it's like, you know,
05:40 either, you know, win the prize or lose your life savings, and he's gotten a
05:44 better understanding of kind of what a floor game is and not having as many
05:49 like loud turnovers, loud shots that don't have a very high chance of going
05:55 in. He's just smooth that out, and I give him a lot of credit because, um,
06:00 he's aggressive. He's a confident guy. You know, he kept he keeps doubling
06:04 down, but, um, he's found a way to kind of, you know, become more predictable
06:11 and more stable and more steady without losing his confidence and
06:14 aggressiveness. He still looks confident aggressive out there, but
06:16 he's doing so in a very controlled way. So I I am a lot of credit. He's
06:19 really made a lot of progress. It's been a lot of ups and downs. He's a
06:22 great, um, developmental case study as some a lot of the guys are, um, and
06:27 he's just got to stay on it. You know, it's not gonna be perfect, but this
06:30 just shows that, you know, if you just stay to your process and you hit it
06:33 every day, you'll improve over time. If you fight through the ups and downs,
06:37 um, we haven't talked about it yet, but I mean, last year he didn't for
06:48 physical reasons like we were like doubled down on, um, his physical
06:52 development. I think we're probably more confident in his physical base
06:56 where that's probably more on the table this year than last year, but I don't
06:59 know what we'll end up doing.
07:02 Else. Thanks, guys.
