00:00 The gal, okay, see thunder dot com. It seemed like you all really kind of had
00:04 the grit in the fight tonight. Your thoughts on um the way that you all
00:08 competed against one of the very best teams in the league.
00:11 Um like you said, I thought the fight was there to effort. Um
00:17 what killed us was the first quarter. Um I think coach told us we outscored
00:24 him for from whatever time period to whatever. Um but that first quarter
00:31 really killed us and it was hard trying to like
00:34 fight your way back into that. You know what I mean? You kind of need a lot
00:38 of things that happened for us and a lot of stuff for them not to fall and
00:43 stuff like that. You know, they're a really good team obviously. So uh
00:48 coming out from the jump, we got to be a little bit better, but I thought we
00:51 did a good job of, you know, just staying together and trying to will our
00:55 way back into it. Your career high scoring tonight, you did it at all
00:59 three levels. What was kind of your attack mindset when you got the ball
01:04 and the way that you were able to produce so efficiently all night? Um
01:08 just try to make quick decisions and you know, be confident in whatever I
01:12 do. Um
01:14 that's really it.
01:20 Pierce Lawson. Okay. See, then dot com coach mentioned that you guys really
01:24 responded well after, you know, a couple days of practice and after the
01:27 Minnesota game, just over some of the biggest focuses over those practice
01:30 days that you guys were able to kind of utilize in the game like tonight. Uh
01:35 just our sharpness and readiness. Um
01:38 paying attention to detail and then getting back to the fundamentals like
01:42 defensively uh stand on our feet on close outs and you know, showing our
01:47 hands when they're driving uh our shell and our rotation is like kind of
01:52 getting back to like training camp type stuff. Um
01:56 refreshing our our minds and watching film and learning from it. Um I mean
02:03 that's it was it was big tonight. It's gonna be big tomorrow, you know, and
02:09 going forward. And then I wanted to ask you about lindy, a guy who hasn't been
02:13 with the team long but steps in and has a night like tonight where he really
02:17 finds rhythm from behind the arc. Just when a guy has an opportunity like he
02:20 does, just what did you see from him when he was out there on the floor and
02:23 just what have you seen since he's been with you guys? Uh I mean it's super,
02:28 it's super fun to watch him go out there and play. Um especially like
02:32 front of like home crowd. Like it's always good to, you know, when he checks
02:37 in like the cheers a little bit louder or like, you know, when he hits the
02:42 three, it's just, it's fun to watch him. Um but he's super confident and I
02:47 think, you know, that's like his, that's been like really good for him. Uh,
02:52 like, you know, coming in, he doesn't second guess anything, um, plays the
02:55 right way. Uh, and like you said, like nights like tonight, like, you know,
03:00 he's really big for us. Um, you know, he can really shoot the ball too. Um, so
03:06 just find the stroke and then
03:10 when it's on, you're in trouble if you're the opposing team.
03:12 There is sharing some of the top 10 and free throw attempts per game. He took
03:18 12 more tonight. How have you seen, like what has that done for his offensive
03:23 game and have you, have you seen him sort of evolve offensively to um to be
03:28 able to draw more fouls and get to the line? Um
03:32 since I've known, he's always gotten to the line. Uh
03:38 I haven't really noticed the difference in like
03:40 him getting to the line more. I mean he just, like I said, since I've been
03:45 playing with him, he's always gotten to the free throw line. Um he used to say
03:50 he got like tips and tricks from a little will. Um but I mean he's always
03:55 been really good at getting to the free throw line and I think it opens up a
03:58 lot for him. You know, um
04:01 he's so dynamic like he can score from all three levels. Um and so it as a
04:08 defender, that's really hard because it's not really anything you can,
04:11 anything you can do. You can't like send them one way or try to get them to
04:16 take certain shots because he's comfortable, you know, scoring and all
04:20 the areas mid range from outside shooting off the dribble. Obviously
04:23 getting to the lane is an amazing finisher. Um but
04:27 I mean not really what it what it does for his game, but what it does for the
04:33 people around him, you know, him being so good like that, getting in the lane,
04:37 um he draws so much attention and he's always making the right reads. Uh so
04:42 you know, it just makes everyone around them better. And just wanted to ask you
04:46 about moment. You guys come out for tip off, everyone's wearing white jerseys.
04:50 It seems like you guys got a pretty good uh laugh out of that. Just what
04:53 was that like from your perspective? Yeah. Uh when I like looked up and I
04:57 seen to have white, I was like what the heck? Um
05:00 yeah, I mean
05:04 I don't know. They got to get it together. I know Wilson's always on
05:07 his stuff, you know, so I know it wasn't our fault. Um but yeah, it was
05:12 pretty funny. Yeah.
05:13 Hey, Darius, great game. First of all, for you that performance tonight 29
05:26 29 points, 10 rebounds. What does it mean? How big confidence booster for
05:31 you is to to be better to get better and better 99 doubt.
05:35 Um
05:37 it's a it's a pretty good confidence booster. Um to have a night like tonight,
05:44 you know, um especially
05:47 I would say for me like offensively, the way I've been playing this year hasn't
05:53 been ideal for me. Um but you know, kind of having nights like tonight is just
05:58 like
05:59 it's just kind of like refreshing when you know, like you know the work you
06:02 continue to put in and stuff like that, like it shows in it and it pays off.
06:06 Thank you.
06:09 >> Mm-hm.
06:10 >> Thank you.
