00:00 Nick Gallo, KC Thunder.com.
00:02 Shade, seemed like the pace in this game was pretty up and down.
00:06 What was it like out there just seeming to play at such a fast clip on both sides?
00:12 >> It was fun.
00:15 Games are usually more fun when you're playing at that pace,
00:19 more so in transition.
00:20 It has up to them, they force you to play like that cuz they play so fast.
00:25 Yeah, and then.
00:29 >> You guys had 31 assists tonight, these four straight games with at least 25
00:34 assists.
00:35 Just your thoughts overall on maybe some of the strides you all are making as a team
00:39 offensively.
00:40 There's so much focus on individual growth and development, but
00:43 there's a team growth that's happening at the same time.
00:46 >> Yeah, we're getting better offensively for sure.
00:49 Guys are better making decisions on and off the ball.
00:52 And I think it's coming full circle.
00:56 I could see the progress offensively for sure from day one till now.
00:59 >> Paris Lawson, okcthunder.com.
01:04 Wanted to get your perspective on on beat tonight.
01:06 He had a career high in points and three pointers made.
01:09 Coach Diagonal pointed out that he just got his looks within the flow of
01:12 the offense.
01:12 You've been around him for a while now.
01:14 Just what have you seen from him and what he brings to the table for you guys?
01:17 >> Yeah, he plays hard and he plays the right way.
01:21 Obviously he hasn't had the best of luck in his early career.
01:25 But he stays the course, he works hard, he does what he's supposed to do.
01:30 And good things will happen to him because of.
01:32 [BLANK_AUDIO]
01:36 >> Andrew Schlecht, The Athletic.
01:38 Marcus described you as somebody who's self-sufficient when it comes to
01:41 preparing for games.
01:42 I'm just curious, what does your prep look like each night,
01:45 even for a team like tonight?
01:46 The Hornets, they just play different than a lot of teams.
01:49 What is your preparation before a game like this look like?
01:52 >> Yeah, it starts, well,
01:57 guys are pretty predictable in this league.
02:01 So and I watch a lot of basketball.
02:05 So knowing the scout, I kind of know beforehand before every game we play
02:08 teams.
02:09 And then, like I said, I watch a lot of games.
02:15 So I know they do defensively most nights.
02:17 And the way the season is going,
02:22 I kind of know what to expect coverage wise, defensively coming in tonight.
02:27 And every defense has a way to beat it.
02:29 And vice versa on offensive end, every offense,
02:33 every play has a way to beat it defensively.
02:37 And I just try to focus on those things every night.
02:39 And it changes from team to team, obviously, but that's my main focus.
02:44 >> Even though you guys have got a lot of wins recently,
02:46 you seem to still play with a lot of joy.
02:48 You had the jump that you did right after you threw Darius and Aliou.
02:51 I think you did it another time after a three point shot.
02:54 Where does that joy come from for you?
02:56 >> Yeah, I just love to play, no matter the circumstance.
03:00 I love to be out there playing basketball.
03:02 [BLANK_AUDIO]
03:10 >> Hey, Shea, hope you're doing well.
03:12 What do you see and focus on tonight's game and
03:15 how important is to see your teammates step up each and every game,
03:20 each and every night?
03:21 >> Yeah, it's important.
03:25 As we move along in this thing, guys' roles will get bigger.
03:29 Games will become more meaningful.
03:31 We'll be in bigger games, closer games with us getting better.
03:35 And just us getting that experience now, and guys stepping up to the plate is good.
03:39 It's gonna all come full circle here in the near future, and
03:43 we're gonna need guys to make plays.
03:45 >> Thanks, Shea.
03:47 >> All right.
