00:00Gallo, KC Thunder dot com trade.
00:04Just take me through the emotions of that fourth quarter,
00:07the fight that you all are showing down the stretch against an elite team and
00:11and what that's like as you're putting pressure on them.
00:14It was tough.
00:16We just wanted to at that time we wanted to get stops and make shots.
00:20And that's all that was going through our heads at the time.
00:24Now they were tough team to stop.
00:26You know, they got two of the best scores in the league.
00:28And then some some good pieces around them.
00:30So we were just trying to get stops, you know, push the pressure a little bit.
00:34We picked up full court on trying to get traps.
00:37But I'm that was all that was going through our head was getting stops and
00:39getting shots to go in.
00:41You made history again tonight in that second quarter.
00:45It's one of those kind of magical moments that that six minute span.
00:49What's the feeling like that?
00:51Like that?
00:52What is the feeling like for you out there during that stretch?
00:55It was crazy.
00:56I couldn't do nothing but like smile.
00:59I was trying to hold it in, stay serious.
01:00But, you know, it was crazy.
01:02I think I went like six for six or something.
01:06I think it's just it's just all God, though, because I just had a bad game last
01:10game at home.
01:12I didn't shoot it well.
01:13And tonight I come in and shoot six for six, like did the same thing.
01:16Same routine.
01:18And shots just fell for him.
01:19But it was it was crazy.
01:21That's all I was feeling was just like, wow.
01:26Paris Lawson, OKC Thunder.com, kind of along those same lines,
01:30you did all the same stuff.
01:31You found you were going to all of your same things that you normally go to
01:35against this team, who's one of the best defensive teams in the league.
01:37Just was there anything, especially in that second quarter,
01:40that you felt like you were able to get to to allow yourself to get into that
01:43that sort of rhythm?
01:45Yeah, I was just trying to keep the game simple at first, shoot open shots,
01:49because I knew they were going, you know, key in on Shea.
01:51And with him getting to the paint, he kicked it out a couple of times and
01:54I was able to get looks.
01:55And then my teammates, once I started in shock, they kept finding me.
01:59Roby came up and said, great screens for me.
02:02They were looking for me in transition.
02:04And then Coach Rand played for me because he knew that I was making shots.
02:07So I just credit them, my coaches and my teammates.
02:11And then just zooming out on the offense as a whole, it seemed like you guys
02:14were really able to to play with some pace and get out on the break a lot.
02:18You guys outscored them a lot on fast break points tonight.
02:21How big of an emphasis was it playing with some speed and playing it
02:24to that advantage out on the break tonight?
02:26It was really big for us.
02:28They got one of the best defenses in the league, if not the best defense.
02:32So we knew if they got back and set up, they were long athletic
02:37and they play great defense as a team.
02:38So our advantage was trying to get it out quick and just go.
02:42And that's what we tried to do.
02:43And we feel like we did a good job at it.
02:46Interselect of the athletic.
02:49You had the second highest scoring in for any rookie this season.
02:52Kind of started out the season.
02:53I remember we talked and you said that the length and the athleticism
02:57and the pace of the game was was really tough as a scorer.
03:00Just take me through your progression, because you obviously feel
03:03very comfortable today.
03:05Yeah, just I'm always say the same thing.
03:08Like it's just more reps, just every game.
03:11I feel more confident, more comfortable.
03:14And then guys out.
03:16So, you know, I was able to get more minutes, get a bigger role.
03:20And then just to stay down, stay with my head down and kept working
03:25and I'm just paying off.
03:26So got a lot of room to grow.
03:28But, you know, I feel a lot more comfortable.
03:30I'm getting better every game, I feel like.
03:32So and then specifically you had those two setback threes
03:36and then you're bringing the ball up to court.
03:39People in the crowd are even yelling heat check.
03:41Like, how do you feel in that specific moment on that specific shot
03:44when that one went down?
03:46I didn't even hear the people screaming.
03:48It was just like Isaiah said, a high screen.
03:50When I came off, Al Horford was, you know, way behind the line.
03:54So I was like, why not?
03:56Coach pushes me to get those shots like in transition
04:00when teams go under or teams pick up low.
04:02They push me to get those shots.
04:04And I just felt good.
04:05So I shot it.
04:06And then when it went in, it was like.
04:08Like another while, like I went in, so it was cool.
04:14Thanks, Trent.
04:15Thank you.
