00:00 Nick Gallo, KC Thunder.com.
00:03 Tell me what that feeling is like in the fourth quarter when you're going on that
00:08 extended of a run.
00:09 >> It's fun, it's fun to be out there competing.
00:14 I think the guys just, we were down I don't know how much,
00:18 I think they said 19 at one point.
00:21 But it was always fun competing.
00:24 The guys we had out there, they just didn't have any give up in them.
00:27 And we just were able to come out with the win.
00:30 >> Six block shots tonight for you.
00:32 It's the most by any Thunder player this season, including on a three point attempt.
00:37 Just your thoughts on, well, first of all,
00:40 did Bayes say anything to you about that block?
00:42 >> No, he didn't, he didn't, but I kind of took that out of his book.
00:45 That's Bayes' specialty.
00:46 But no, I think it's just a product of being able to guard different positions
00:51 tonight, started out on the center and then ended up playing on guards and
00:55 forwards.
00:56 So just being able to use my defensive versatility out there was,
00:59 that was the key to that.
01:00 >> Paris Lawson, OKCThunder.com, wanted to get your perspective specifically as
01:05 a guy who didn't play in front of fans last season and
01:08 then have this opportunity now, obviously, just in front of fans.
01:11 Last home game of the season, just what have been your thoughts and
01:14 emotions kind of throughout the day on that?
01:16 >> Yeah, I mean, shoot, it's not like we had the biggest crowd tonight, but
01:22 the people that were here, obviously, they're true fans.
01:25 The people that showed up, they were here early,
01:27 they were yelling at us during our warm ups, 50 minutes before the game.
01:32 So it's really special to have that type of support here in Oklahoma City.
01:38 And the fans are awesome, they were loud.
01:40 It felt like every game's meaningful, but it felt like a meaningful game.
01:45 The crowd was into it, and we're always grateful for
01:48 the support here in Oklahoma City.
01:49 >> Andrew Schleich to The Athletic.
01:52 You kind of found yourself as the veteran of the group out there tonight.
01:56 Did you feel the need to lead these guys?
01:59 How did the group come together?
02:00 Cuz a few of you haven't really played a whole lot of minutes together,
02:03 especially in the NBA.
02:04 >> Right, I would say I was probably more vocal than normal tonight.
02:09 But I think we're all kind of doing that.
02:11 You see the guys on the bench who aren't suited up,
02:14 they're talking a lot more to guys and they're giving them feedback.
02:17 And myself, like you said, being a guy out there who's played the most NBA minutes,
02:22 I feel like there's some responsibility to kind of lead the guys and
02:25 try to lead them.
02:26 But we have a, X, obviously played a lot of basketball.
02:31 He's a great point guard and he was able to lead us tonight too.
02:34 So I think just collectively we did a pretty good job out there tonight.
02:37 >> And then what kind of confidence does it give the group seeing basically
02:41 the entire team standing up at the end of the bench?
02:44 >> Yeah, it's awesome.
02:46 It's awesome to have them and have them supporting us.
02:49 To have them actually locked into the game and
02:52 they could be over there messing around and not paying attention to the game.
02:56 But that's not the culture we have here.
02:58 So it's good to see those guys locked in and invested and
03:01 actually talking to guys on the court as well.
03:04 >> Isaiah, how do you think Xavier and
03:08 Yergos stepped in tonight on short notice, obviously, and
03:12 playing big minutes tonight for you guys?
03:14 >> Yeah, they did a good job.
03:16 GK hit some big shots.
03:17 X comes down with that hook shot.
03:19 And every time he shoots it, I just think it's going in, man.
03:22 It's just automatic.
03:23 But those guys, they obviously spent a lot of time, or they spent the year with
03:28 the blue.
03:29 And so they know our principles and our philosophies pretty well.
03:32 And so it was a pretty smooth transition, I think.
03:36 I think more of kind of the synergy between us as players is actually
03:39 the bigger thing tonight.
03:41 I think we had some turnovers where it was just not really being used to playing
03:44 with each other.
03:45 But that'll come and we got three more opportunities to do that.
03:48 Thanks.
03:49 >> Thanks, Dan.
03:52 >> Sweet, thanks, guys.
