00:00 mcgallow, Casey Thunder dot com. Uh, mark, your players have talked a lot
00:04 over the last few weeks about really wanting to kind of get that defensive
00:08 identity back more consistently, more solidly. Did you feel like you saw that
00:13 tonight and where? Yeah, I thought, um, to start the game and end the game at
00:19 the end of the game, they made some shots to start the game. They made some
00:22 shots. I thought we're a little loose, uh, early and then we really tighten it
00:26 up with our help, especially, um, and did a nice job in the in the middle of
00:30 the game in the middle there. And, um, you know, help oriented, played hard,
00:34 competed, um, good communication, good in man, good in the zone. Uh, thought
00:40 we played pretty well defensively tonight for much of the game. There was
00:43 a nearly eight minute stretch in the second quarter where they didn't have a
00:47 field goal
00:48 against any team of professional players. That's difficult to do. What
00:54 what was working during that stretch and what what does the team have to get
00:58 to to achieve that type of stretch? Um, played a little zone. I thought that
01:02 threw him off rhythm and then, um, went back to man and kind of was able to
01:07 sustain, um, you know, the point of attack and again, the help I thought,
01:11 you know, was really good tonight. Um, in the middle of the game, you know, I
01:15 thought early were a little loose and then late, like I said, they drilled
01:17 some shots. But, you know, for much of the game, you know, we forced them to
01:20 play against five guys, kind of get back to the principles that, you know,
01:24 we've been emphasizing all year.
01:25 Paris, also an okt thunder dot com. Wanted to ask you about Teo's nights
01:30 just seemed like he was making an impact all over the floor, not just
01:32 with the scoring, but he was getting under the rim. He was making some
01:35 really strong reads with with his passing. What stood out the most to you
01:38 about his game? Um, you know, to me, it's just like I just respect the guy's
01:44 work ethic, you know, and his professionalism. He's a really hard
01:49 worker. He's highly professional. He attacks the program. And when I say
01:53 attacks, I mean attacks. Um, he puts in the extra work. His solution is always
01:58 more work and putting his head down. And anytime somebody is that committed
02:03 and is willing to persevere and plow through, um, adversity with work ethic,
02:08 I respect that and we respect that. And, um, so when he has success on the
02:13 other side of that, it's good to see and deserved. And obviously he was part
02:18 of the second unit, 52 points for them as a whole. Just Lindy Olivier V. Those
02:23 guys. What did you think about their performance tonight? I mean, obviously,
02:26 uh, V got it going from three. He was really good in that stretch. I thought
02:30 Teo had good game control. Uh, Lindy played a good floor game, even though,
02:34 you know, he wasn't as loud as those guys. I thought sar gave us, um, some
02:38 definite physicality when he went in there. You know, I thought he was first
02:41 to hit, um, and did a nice job around the basket. So, you know, give those
02:45 guys credit. They were ready to play, and then they did a good job closing
02:47 the game.
02:48 Joe Masato, the Oklahoma marked a lot of players from both sides were in
02:53 spots. They aren't usually in both teams missing a lot. Um, but is it, I
02:57 guess, a point of pride for you as a coach to to win with this group in
03:02 particular and see those guys sort of step up and fight in a game like this
03:06 one. I'm just happy, you know, for guys that work at it, you know, especially
03:11 when they have to plot. Like I mentioned, Maladon, I think V is a good
03:14 example of that. He's been back for a while, but the start of the first year
03:19 of his professional career was rehab. And then shortly into this season, he
03:23 had a setback that put him out again, and he was out for a long time. And,
03:26 um, as I said before about him, rehab is, uh, and a grueling process with
03:33 not a lot of visible gains. You know, it's very, very mundane. Um, and you've
03:37 got to be really committed, you know, to stay at it physically and mentally.
03:40 And so to see him have success, the guys that were with the blue, um, Roby
03:45 is a guy that early in the season wasn't in the rotation. Poku, you
03:48 know, is playing more minutes right now. Tres had the battle through. So
03:51 the most pride is mostly in the program and the way those guys attack it and
03:56 the way that they've kind of hung in there and seeing them have success on
03:59 the back end of that is a good thing. You like she was over there cheering
04:03 and stuff. Do you see that respect from some of the guys, um, who are more
04:08 they, you know, regular key rotational players that see the guys out there
04:12 tonight sort of respects the work that they have put in. Yeah, I think, you
04:16 know, the way you earn respect in a locker room is you're about the team.
04:19 You compete in between the lines and you work hard. You know, if you if you
04:23 peel back the reasons why players are respected, those air pretty much the
04:28 three that can earn your respect. And, you know, like I said, those guys have
04:31 been a great job of those things.
04:34 That's the room.
04:35 Hey, Coach. Congratulations on the win. First of all, uh, to see so many
04:44 players to make a step up. We had his first double double in the NBA to see
04:50 tail coming off the bench being so productive. What sign of growth for
04:54 those guys for the whole team is that game?
05:00 I mean, like I said, we have a internal message that is important to us that
05:05 we say, you know, growing through experiences because when you play this
05:09 many games and you have, you know, all the ups and downs that the season
05:12 provides, um, there's a lot of experiences there and, um, every
05:17 experiences is an opportunity for growth. You know, whether it's positive
05:21 or negative or, um, or neutral, you know, you can grow from everything.
05:25 And, uh, so to see those guys, like I said, grow through all the experiences
05:30 that they go through, whether it's Taylor Veed or anybody, um, you know,
05:34 they're really they're following through on a particular mindset that
05:38 we think is important for us moving forward, and they're embodying that.
05:41 And that's important. So, um, like I said, happy when, uh, the ending of
05:46 that process leads to success on that night's like tonight.
05:49 Thank you. All right. Thank you.
