00:00 Coach, you guys were able to kind of keep pace to the first three quarters.
00:04 Just what did you see in that fourth quarter that kind of allowed them to get
00:07 the lead that they did there?
00:08 They get it going. Obviously, I thought they caught a rhythm there. We did a
00:12 good job of kind of keeping that check for the majority of the game and then
00:17 made a couple shots, get to the rim. We stopped scoring during that stretch
00:21 and they were able to open it up. But I would fought hard, really competed. I
00:25 would play all the way through the 48 offensive floor. Yeah, I commend the
00:30 effort of our players.
00:31 Yergo, so the career high of 25 tonight, did anything in particular stand out
00:36 about the way he was able to generate offense tonight for you?
00:38 It was a little bit of everything. I thought he played pretty well, but he
00:42 obviously had the two energy plays for steals. They got some points out of
00:46 transition, made a couple shots, got to the rim a couple times, got to the line.
00:50 I thought he had a nice balance tonight.
00:53 Mark, you said you commended the guys efforts. Just
00:56 a badge of honor for some of these guys to play the extended minutes that they
01:02 played,
01:02 poured out all, poured all out there on the floor for such a good period of
01:07 time and kind of give you something to look at.
01:09 Yeah, no, I thought they, that's what I'm saying. Played a lot of minutes,
01:13 obviously, you know, there's only so many games left, so it's a good
01:16 opportunity for them to go out there and play.
01:17 You know, they're just putting their head down and competing. I give them
01:21 credit for that. But we competed really hard tonight all the way through the
01:25 um, and we're able to keep the energy up. But that was the case here. It's
01:28 important. Um, you know, so we don't want more grinds up.
01:32 So six guys,
01:35 situation.
01:37 Different
01:38 in there.
01:40 Ability
01:43 to stay in there.
01:48 Yeah, I mean, we were ready to if we needed to. But, um, you know, we've
01:52 talked about this, I think, throughout the season where, you know, letting
01:55 guys roll with files, you know, they were, you know, we didn't follow up.
01:58 He didn't follow up tonight. So, uh, you know, obviously we've got Roby
02:02 early. You got free in the first. We got him when he get five. But, um, you
02:06 know, I thought those guys did a good job of playing without filing. You
02:08 know, they were good fundamentally tonight and obviously X file that two
02:12 of his takes, you know, he took one, I think, at one point earlier in the game,
02:17 the last one was take file. So, um, his file trouble wasn't like this one
02:21 problem. I think those guys who were dressed out and not playing, are you
02:26 telling them like, Hey, you ready? Just make sure you have to go again. Um,
02:30 yeah, but I'm also telling my plan. You know, I'm telling him, Hey, I'm not
02:34 planning on using you for warm up. You ready to go? They know they're live.
02:38 You know, that's part of being a pro is, you know, being ready to go. But,
02:42 um, they know exactly what the circumstances in terms of not planning
02:46 on using them, but also being ready if we have to. Obviously, tonight we're a
02:49 player away from that.
02:50 Jalen's numbers since you guys called about really loud and impressive. But
02:56 for the obvious that what is what do you see? What is the impact?
03:00 How are you playing? It plays really hard. You know, he's so consistent.
03:06 He's the same player every minute. It seems, um, the thing about him that
03:11 I've always respected is defensively and toughest plays in competitive plays.
03:16 Um, the scoring and rebounding numbers, you know, are like a bonus. But, um,
03:20 I've always had a high respect for his feet defensively, his fundamentals
03:24 defensively, good length, but also really, really good on his feet. And,
03:28 um, you know, he showed that again tonight. I thought he did a really good
03:30 job on that. He's done that since he's been with us again. Um, and the
03:33 scoring is just, you know, obviously, I had a bonus. Is this a better version
03:38 of him that you saw when he joined you all at the end of last year? Yeah, for
03:41 sure. You know, he's more confident. Um, I think his understanding that he
03:45 had the game slowed down a little bit for him. He's always been a smart
03:48 player, but the speed of the game is different. Um, when you're early on
03:51 in your reps, and I think, you know, getting that experience sometimes when
03:55 they get the experience and then they detach from that a little bit. I think
03:58 that's the value of blue assignments. You know, you send them to the blue,
04:01 and then when they come back, they kind of already know what to expect. It's,
04:05 you know, the jump that guys can make in their second year after summer. And
04:08 in his case, you know, he fell out of the NBA, went back to the blue, and I
04:12 think it's the same kind of that.
04:14 Yeah.
04:14 Anyone else?
04:17 We got no one on the zoom coach. Okay.
