After being named in The Telegraph's list of the 48 poshest villages in the country, I visited Wiswell but found it to be a ghost town.
The quaint village does only have a population of around 1,000 so it is safe to say that the majority of residents may have been working during my visit.

00:24 So I'm in the town of Wiswell, which has just been named in a list by the Telegraph as one of Britain's top 48 poshest villages in the country.
00:35 And I can definitely get that feeling, with an average house price of around £650,000, it's definitely an affluent area, and I can see why.
00:46 It's got beautiful countrysides, but also has that kind of sense of hustle and bustle. We're not too far away from Worley, which is just down the road,
00:55 which obviously has a train station with links to bigger cities, so that's on your doorstep.
01:02 But yeah, just looking around, the countryside is really breathtaking, and I can see why people would like to live here.
01:10 As for Wiswell itself, although it has a population of only around 1,000, there's definitely things going on here.
01:19 It's got an award-winning gastropub, known as the Freemasons, which has retained its top 10 gastropubs in the country award for several years now.
01:31 And yeah, it has beautiful parks around, and everyone's been really friendly so far, so I can see why it's deserving of its place on the list.
01:44 So if I had to give a verdict on Wiswell, I'd say it's very small and quaint. You can practically walk from one side to the other in about 15 minutes,
01:53 but the country homes are beautiful, as well as the backdrop, of course, of Lancashire.
02:00 But I'd say it is lacking a bit of life. There wasn't much hustle and bustle going on, and as previously mentioned,
02:08 I'd say most people would probably go down to Worley, just down the road, to get that bit of action and life,
