00:00 Good morning and happy Easter weekend.
00:02 We've got sunny spells,
00:03 scattered showers,
00:04 but we are going to start
00:05 seeing the winds easing.
00:07 We still do have low pressure
00:08 firmly in charge though,
00:10 but if you have a look at the ice bars,
00:12 they are going to be spreading out.
00:15 So as we go through Friday,
00:16 more so on Saturday,
00:17 we'll have lighter winds than of late,
00:20 but back to this morning.
00:21 We've got heavy persistent rain affecting
00:23 the Northern Isles and the Western Isles,
00:25 but across Northern Ireland.
00:26 Actually,
00:26 you're going to be waking up to a
00:29 bit of a sunny start some fog patches around,
00:31 perhaps even some pockets of frost.
00:33 But further towards the South we are
00:35 going to still see some sunny spells
00:37 to start, but also some showers too.
00:39 Through the morning then that cloud and
00:41 rain is gradually going to be clearing
00:43 its way across parts of Scotland.
00:45 Elsewhere, sunny spells developing,
00:46 but as the sun gets going,
00:47 clouds going to bubble up.
00:49 We're going to see frequent
00:50 showers breaking out.
00:51 Some of these are going to be still
00:53 on the heavy side containing the
00:55 odd rumble of thunder, perhaps.
00:57 And some hail and some gusty winds,
00:59 especially across a southern areas.
01:01 As for temperatures,
01:02 though we'll see temperatures widely
01:04 around 9 or 10 degrees in the North,
01:06 but up to 12,
01:07 possibly even 14 in the South and
01:10 with some sunshine,
01:11 hopefully not feeling too bad as we
01:13 go through the rest of the afternoon.
01:16 Those showers continuing to move
01:17 up across northern parts,
01:19 but we will see the showers easing,
01:21 especially across the Midlands,
01:23 East Anglia and North Eastern parts,
01:25 with showers still across
01:27 coastal areas in the West.
01:28 But the winds are going to be turning lighter.
01:32 We could see a touch of frost for
01:34 rural parts of the glens of Scotland,
01:37 but elsewhere temperatures holding
01:38 above freezing around 5 or 6 degrees.
01:41 But this will lead to a bright
01:43 start on Saturday morning.
01:45 Plenty of sunshine first thing,
01:47 specially across Northern Ireland
01:48 and more so across England and Wales.
01:51 But like today,
01:52 showers are going to be starting
01:54 to break out as we go through
01:56 the afternoon.
01:56 They're not going to be as frequent
01:58 or heavy and plenty of sunny spells
02:01 developing further towards the Southwest.
02:03 But we have got some more persistent
02:05 showery outbreaks of rain just
02:06 clipping into Cornwall as we
02:08 go through the afternoon.
02:09 Otherwise,
02:10 though,
02:10 with more in the way of sunny
02:12 spells and lighter winds,
02:14 temperatures going to be a little
02:16 bit more up so we could even see.
02:18 1450 perhaps even 16 degrees in the
02:21 Southeast as we go through the afternoon.
