00:00 "This operation is based on public complaint.
00:07 There is an activity, a recycling of our goods,
00:11 which is said to be done by many foreigners.
00:16 As a result of the operation,
00:19 we have detained one Malaysian citizen
00:25 and one Chinese citizen,
00:27 who is the director and owner of the factory.
00:31 We also detained four Chinese citizens,
00:37 who are the directors of the factory.
00:43 We also detained three Chinese workers,
00:48 36 citizens from Myanmar,
00:51 one Indonesian citizen
00:53 and two women citizens.
00:58 We detained a total of 48 people.
01:01 Of the 48, 43 have no documents,
01:05 and the other five have documents.
01:08 We found that two men and a Chinese woman
01:14 have valid salary pass,
01:18 and they also have a valid salary pass.
01:26 One Chinese citizen, who we detained,
01:30 has been in jail for a long time,
01:32 and one man from Myanmar,
01:35 who is under 16 years old,
01:37 who we detained during the operation,
01:40 who has a Myanmar ID card.
01:44 So, from the total of 43 people who have no documents,
01:50 five of them have documents.
01:53 The operation team has successfully seized
01:57 the license to operate from the regional assembly,
02:01 the company's documents,
02:03 the SSM's certificate of success,
02:05 the record of the business of the key to the premises,
02:08 six Chinese passport documents,
02:12 four telephone bills,
02:14 and a large amount of cash,
02:16 which is RM688,900,
02:20 and also 42 punch cards.
02:25 What we know is that the company's operation
02:29 is to process electronic junk,
02:33 which is cables and wires,
02:35 and they get iron or aluminum.
02:40 These are the things that are brought from abroad,
02:44 and processed in the jail,
02:47 and sold back to the local market.
02:51 We suspect that,
02:53 and from the initial investigation,
02:56 they paid the party with a salary of around RM2,000-3,000.
03:01 And what is important is that
03:04 we suspect that they have been there for a long time,
03:08 and the factory also provides a place to live for the foreigners.
03:14 And we have found that the clear mistakes
03:18 for those who were arrested are two.
03:23 The first is that for the foreigners,
03:26 they were there without a valid passport,
03:30 and also without a valid work permit.
03:32 This involves the citizens, and they are the party.
03:36 And there is another mistake,
03:38 where the company's owner,
03:40 who is a citizen of China,
03:42 also paid the party,
03:44 in an unfair way,
03:46 under Section 55B of the Immigration Act.
03:48 So, what is all of them?
03:50 We investigated under the Immigration Act of 1963,
03:53 the Passport Act of 1966,
03:55 and also the Immigration Regulations of 1963,
03:59 and also the Anti-Trading and Migrant Residence Act of 2007.
04:04 And all of them are now detained at the Jalil Hill Detention Center.
04:09 For the time being, they are there.
04:11 And during the operation,
04:15 we were able to detain two Malaysian citizens,
04:19 where we have given them notice
04:23 to come and give an explanation to the investigation team.
