00:00 Happy Friday to all of us, I am Benison Estareja.
00:04 The effect of the Easter Leaves or the wind from the East, particularly the Pacific Ocean,
00:10 still brings hot weather to a large part of the country and rains in the part of Mindanao.
00:16 Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon of Manuamihan is slowly approaching the part of Taiwan
00:21 and it is expected that in the next few days, it will slowly descend here in Luzon
00:26 until the middle of next week.
00:29 Meanwhile, based on our latest animation, we do not have a storm or low-pressure air monitoring
00:34 and the chance of weather disturbance is low until the end of this month.
00:40 Today, because of the Easter Leaves, the hot weather is still expected in a large part of Luzon,
00:45 part of the cloud-covered and cloud-covered skies in the eastern sections,
00:49 and there is also a chance of heavy rains, especially in the Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon,
00:54 and here in the Bicol Region.
00:57 In the remaining part of Luzon, facing the West Philippine Sea, part of the cloudy skies,
01:02 and sometimes the morning is clear until the afternoon, there is also heat,
01:06 especially in the areas of Pampanga, Cavite, Mindoro Provinces, and here in Palawan,
01:11 and the chance of rain is low.
01:13 In Metro Manila, the temperature is between 25 to 32 degrees Celsius,
01:17 while the actual temperature here in Maitugay-Garau is the hottest, up to 34 degrees Celsius.
01:23 Meanwhile, here in Visayas, part of the cloudy skies is expected,
01:28 and the chance of heavy rains is high, here in the southern Leyte,
01:32 and Leyte, because of the Easter Leaves.
01:34 When the afternoon comes, part of the cloudy skies,
01:38 here in the central and western portions of Visayas,
01:40 and there is also a chance of isolated rain showers.
01:43 In terms of temperature, between 31 to 32 degrees Celsius is the hottest when the afternoon comes,
01:49 but there are still places where the heat index is possible to be experienced, up to 38 degrees Celsius.
01:55 That includes Katarman, Guiwan in the eastern Samar, and also in Meloilo and Rojas City.
02:01 For our fellow citizens in Mindanao, the rainy season continues here in the eastern sections,
02:06 particularly in Carraga, Davao Region, and northern Mindanao, because of the Easter Leaves.
02:11 The nature of our rainy season is light to moderate rains,
02:14 yet be careful of possible floods and landslides,
02:17 and always follow our thunderstorm advisories and heavy rainfall warnings.
02:22 In the remaining parts of Mindanao, the sky is cloudy until the morning, until the afternoon,
02:28 but there are also chances of rain showers here in Zamboanga Peninsula,
02:32 Naudel Sur, Maguindanao Provinces, and also here in Cotabato, because of the Easter Leaves.
02:39 Our temperature here in Metro Davao is between 24 to 32 degrees Celsius,
02:43 while the hottest areas are Zamboanga City, Jensan, and Cotabato City,
02:48 where the heat index is possible to be experienced up to 38 degrees Celsius.
02:52 The most flooded areas are the extreme northern Luzon,
02:56 where the floods are up to 3.5 meters high, because of the slowly decreasing Northeast Monsoon.
03:03 While the flood season is in its infancy, the floods are increasing in the neighboring towns of our country.
03:08 As I mentioned earlier, while the Northeast Monsoon is decreasing,
03:13 there are also chances of a large part of the northern Luzon and some towns in the eastern sides of Central-Southern Luzon of Visayas
03:19 will experience floods until the middle of next week.
03:23 Meanwhile, for the next three days, we will expect the slowly decreasing Northeast Monsoon.
03:28 By tomorrow evening, it is possible that a large part of the northern Luzon will experience a drought effect.
03:33 By Sunday, the northern and central Luzon will experience a drought effect,
03:38 and possibly Monday to Tuesday, it will reach a large part of the Luzon.
03:41 The effect of the drought is that there will be strong winds, high waves, and the temperature will gradually drop, especially from Monday onwards.
03:49 So, if we are here in Metro Manila, we are still in cloudy skies in general.
03:53 There are only chances of isolated rain showers over this weekend,
03:56 and even the chances of rain will be low from morning to afternoon.
03:59 The isolated light rain will be present from Monday to Wednesday.
04:03 When it comes to Cordillera Region in Baguio City,
04:05 the chances of isolated rain showers will still be low because it is expected to be mostly sunny from morning to afternoon,
04:11 and it will still be cold between 15 to 26 degrees Celsius,
04:15 and possibly it will get colder to 13 to 14 degrees Celsius in the middle of next week.
04:20 Meanwhile, in Bicol Region, it will be rainy tomorrow.
04:23 So, if the house will be exposed over this weekend, it will bring a downpour.
04:27 It will bring a heavy downpour of thunderstorms, and it will also bring heavy rains and landslides,
04:32 while the weather will be good from Monday to early or middle of next week.
04:37 In our town in Visayas, we still have an effect of Easter Easterly there.
04:41 It is still a bit hot, especially in the urban areas and urbanized areas,
04:45 and there are also chances of isolated rain showers,
04:47 especially here in Eastern Visayas.
04:49 By tomorrow, until Sunday, it is possible for there to be heavy downpours and thunderstorms,
04:53 so be careful of possible floods and landslides.
04:57 In our town in Mindanao, there will be rain showers tomorrow here in Mezambuanga Peninsula,
05:02 particularly in Mezambuanga City, from morning to afternoon.
05:05 And then, in a large part of Mindanao, especially those affected by the rain showers,
05:08 like Easterlies in the past few days, the weather will be good.
05:12 There will be only short showers.
05:14 Sunday and Monday, the weather will be better.
05:16 It will be more sunny in a large part of Mindanao.
05:19 It will be hot, especially the heat index, which is possible to experience between 36 to 40 degrees Celsius,
05:24 and there are also chances of isolated rain showers.
05:27 Our sunrise is still 6.17 in the morning, and the sunset is 6.03 in the evening.
05:33 That's all for the latest from the Weather Forecasting Center of Pagasa.
05:36 I am again Benison Estareja.
05:38 Happy weekend!
05:39 Thank you for watching!
