00:12 lesser-known spots in North America and Europe.

00:17 Springtime in Japan is practically synonymous with cherry blossom viewing,

00:24 also known as hanami. Travel to Kyoto for some of the best places to view them, as

00:29 spots like the Philosopher's Path and Nicho Castle are covered in pink. No

00:34 hanami trip in Kyoto is complete without a visit to Maruyama Park, where cherry

00:38 blossoms are illuminated at night. This city in the Pacific Northwest has

00:43 several places to see cherry blossoms, one of which is its Japanese garden,

00:48 where visitors can see Yoshino and Weeping Cherry trees when spring rolls

00:52 around. You can also spot nearly a hundred cherry blossom trees in Ta-Makal
