SMU extended its two-game conference winning streak to three after a convincing 103-70 win over Tulsa.
Defensively, SMU did a good job putting pressure on star guard PJ Haggerty early on, forcing him to have a bad shot selection. Haggerty still had quite the day, scoring 19 points, but forcing him to take a lot of shots early allowed them to rebound and get the ball out quick for some easy transition plays.
Offensively, four different players scored in double digits, and 37 points came off the bench. Chuck Harris led the way, scoring 18 points, 10 assists, and 6 rebounds. The offense played so well that the entire bench got a chance to see some action today, including Jackson Young, a walk-on who recently got offered a scholarship, which made the crowd go wild.
SMU will look to keep their winning streak going when they travel to Denton to take on the University of North Texas this Thursday at 6:00 p.m.

00:00 SMU extended their two-game in-conference winning streak to three
00:08 tonight in a convincing win over Tulsa 103 to 70. Defensively SMU did a great
00:14 job getting pressure in transition costing turnovers for Tulsa leading to
00:18 easy layups. Now offensively four different players scored in double
00:22 digits and 37 points came off the bench and to no surprise Chuck Harris was the
00:27 leader tonight scoring 18 points with 10 assists and 6 rebounds. Head coach Rob
00:33 Lanier said postgame that what really set their team apart was their
00:36 unselfishness and their mindset. All in all it wasn't a perfect game but
00:42 certainly you know for a conference game you can't expect to have any more games
00:49 like this so I'm proud of these guys and we should enjoy it. Now this marks the most
00:55 points scored in an SMU game since 2017. The Mustangs will be back in action when
01:00 they travel to Denton Texas to take on UNT at 6 p.m. this Thursday. For all
01:06 things SMU basketball tune into Spectrum Cable channel 15 every Wednesday and
01:09 Thursday night at 11. In Moody Coliseum reporting for G210 sports I'm Morgan
