00:00 Hi, I'm Mark Dunford and I'm here with today's Sussex World Daily Bulletin on Wednesday
00:05 January 3rd 2024. National Highways is advising drivers to allow extra time for journeys this
00:12 morning and to plan ahead with several major roads affected by flooding after Storm Henk.
00:18 Road closures are still in place across the county after the UK felt the wrath of Storm
00:22 Henk on Tuesday. Winds of 94mph reportedly hit parts of the county. You can read all
00:28 the latest news across the county at sussexworld.co.uk. The A21 in East Sussex between the A2-100
00:35 near Johns Cross and the A28 near Bouldslow was closed overnight because of flooding and
00:40 a fallen tree. A National Highway spokesperson said "Floodwaters have subsided but the
00:45 tree is resting on power cables above the carriageway. UK power network are on the site
00:50 to make the cables safe before they can be removed."
00:55 A Chichester woman has sold hundreds of sea glass items from beachcombing. Karen Foyle
01:00 moved to Bracklesham 5 years ago and started creating sea glass jewellery from then on.
01:05 Coastal Creation uses sea glass as well as pebbles to create bespoke pieces from pictures
01:11 for customers as well as charms. Owner and creator Karen said "I moved to Bracklesham
01:16 over 5 years ago and started creating things then. I love beachcombing and have created
01:20 many things but I especially love sea glass which can be many years old. Pirate glass
01:25 can also be found on our beaches which is black glass until you shine a light through
01:30 it and see the true colour. I have sold over 500 sea glass necklaces. I know that because
01:35 I have now many gift boxes I have got through." Detectives are continuing to investigate a
01:43 sexual assault in Worthing. Sussex Police has identified a man who may be able to help
01:48 with enquiries following an appeal last week. A CCTV image was published on Saturday 30th
01:55 to identify a man at the Free Fishers in Chapel Road on the night of September 14th, a police
02:02 spokesperson said. Officers have now identified the individual. We can confirm no arrests
02:08 have been made at this time. You can read more about these stories, plus all the latest
