00:09 A fight to save a Sussex golf club from housing development is being stepped up.

00:13 Homes England want to build up to 10,000 new homes on land west of Ifield, including Ifield

00:18 Golf Club and Horsham District Council has allocated an initial 3,000 homes there as

00:24 part of a newly released local plan.

00:26 Homes England says the golf course is surplus to requirements and says other golf facilities

00:30 in the area are able to cope with the future demand.

00:34 The body of an East Sussex woman who was reported missing this week has been found, police have

00:39 confirmed.

00:40 In a statement, a spokesman for Sussex Police said "We are saddened to report the body

00:44 of a previously missing Emma has been found."

00:47 The news comes after police appealed to the public for help locating the 45-year-old.

00:54 A new restaurant has opened in Horsham town centre, Chak De India, opened its doors this

00:59 week on the site of the former Lemongrass restaurant in Horsham's Bishopbrick.

01:03 The restaurant says it offers authentic Indian flavours.

01:06 In a message on social media, the restaurant urges customers "Unleash a burst of spices

01:17 Pavements in Hastings are literally cracking up and creating dangerous trip hazards for

01:30 As well as the badly damaged paving stones still in place, it is now a common sight to

01:34 see paving stones removed and replaced with unsightly and ineffective tarmac.

01:39 But there are some good news going forward with Highways bosses announcing when major

01:44 footpath repairs works in Hastings town centre will start.

01:48 The works were supposed to have run from the end of October until early December last year

01:52 but were delayed.
