00:00 Hi, I'm Mark Duff and I'm here with today's Sussex World Daily Bulletin on Monday January
00:06 29th.
00:07 A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man's body was discovered
00:11 in a Littlehampton street yesterday morning.
00:14 A spokesperson for Sussex Police said the incident in Gladdonian Road was reported to
00:19 police around 6am.
00:21 Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the 51-year-old victim from Littlehampton was
00:24 sadly announced deceased at the scene.
00:27 His next of kin have been informed and are supported by specially trained officers.
00:33 Following enquiries, a 16-year-old boy from Littlehampton was arrested on suspicion of
00:37 murder, the spokesman added.
00:39 He remains in police custody at this time, according to the police.
00:45 Eastbourne's RNLI's new all-weather lifeboat is set to arrive next month.
00:49 The boat, named Esme Anderson, will be arriving into Sovereign Harbour on Saturday February
00:54 10th, Eastbourne RNLI has confirmed.
00:58 In a statement online, a spokesperson for the service said "Some of our volunteer crew
01:02 will be travelling to Ramsgate where the boat is currently under the care of RNLI mechanics
01:07 who are undertaking planned upgrades."
01:11 The family of a Sussex man who died after he was attacked held a vigil in his memory
01:17 yesterday on Sunday January 28th, 25 years after his death.
01:23 Jay Abertan, a 42-year-old accountant from Eastbourne was attacked while waiting for
01:27 a taxi outside the Ocean Rooms in Brighton on January 24th 1999, in what his family believe
01:34 was a racially motivated attack.
01:37 After hitting his head on the pavement, he suffered a fractured skull and died in hospital
01:40 five days later.
01:42 Two men were arrested and charged in connection with the death of Jay, but the pair were later
01:46 cleared on lesser charges of afraid and assault during a trial.
01:50 The vigil was held outside Brighton Police Station.
