The Sussex World daily news bulletin; all the top stories from across both counties.
Transcript
00:00Hi there, Conor Gormley here. I'm a trainee reporter for Sussex World and this is our
00:08daily news bulletin where I run you through all of our top stories from across both East
00:13and West Sussex today. A school in East Sussex has been rated inadequate by Ofsted inspectors
00:19after a serious breakdown in leadership. The inspector said foul language and boisterous
00:24behaviour had become normalised at Robertsbridge Community School and senior leadership had
00:28failed to prevent a decline in the standard of education provided. The Trevor Arms in
00:34East Sussex could be brought to market again thanks to an exciting leasehold opportunity.
00:39The pub has been closed for seven years but has now been brought by a new company eager
00:43to secure a long-term business relationship with a potential new manager and bring it
00:48back into the fold of the community. Works have started to build three new accessible
00:53beach huts in Little Hampton, or rather in Little Hampton Seafront, as part of the Little
00:57Hampton Beach Hut project, which aims to build 13 huts in total, some of which we
01:02privately rented, and these three will be accessible and rented out to charities and
01:07other suitable organisations, according to the District Council. Photos taken this week
01:12show work has started to fit the basis to the three huts and is progressing well. That's
01:18all from me for this week, but for more from us here at Sussex World, do make sure to visit
01:22our website, follow us on social media and buy your local newspaper each and every week.
01:27Thank you very, very much for listening.
