00:06 8th 2023. A Sussex pub which shut suddenly earlier this year has now reopened. Locals

00:12 were shocked when the Bear in Market Square Horsham, which had been in business for more

00:16 than 100 years, shut suddenly in February. But the much-loved pub is now back in business

00:20 after reopening on Thursday following extensive refurbishment. New General Manager Ross Stevenson

00:26 said he has planned to make the Bear the premium and go-to drinking destination in the town

00:30 centre. Tributes have been paid to a Hastings father who died suddenly aged 47. Shane Pope

00:37 passed away on August 31st at the Royal Sussex County Hospital after an accident at home,

00:42 his friends and family have said. Shane, who had type 1 diabetes, was set to undertake

00:47 the 60 miles in September challenge for Diabetes UK with his colleagues. His crewmates will

00:52 be undertaking the challenge this month in his honour. Detectives are investigating after

00:58 a woman was sexually assaulted on a Sussex beach. Sussex police said a woman in her 20s

01:04 reported being approached by a man while preparing to go for a swim on Hove Beach at around 7.20am

01:10 on Friday August 25th. Following a brief interaction on the seafront where they engaged in a reiki

01:17 energy practice, the man sexually assaulted her, police said. Five people have been arrested

01:22 by Sussex police responding to a jewellery theft in Burgess Hill. Sussex police say officers

01:28 were called to a store in Cypress Road at around 1pm on Thursday September 7th after

01:33 a quantity of high value gold jewellery was stolen by a group of people. The suspect fled

01:38 the scene in a vehicle which was stopped by police around 1.15pm heading towards Brighton,

01:43 police added. After a short fit chased by officers, five people, three men and two women

01:48 were detained and arrested on suspicion of theft, Sussex police said. They remain in
