00:07A man has died at a field in Crawley, Sussex police have said.
00:11Police said they were called following concerns for the welfare of a man at Ifill Green playing field in Crawley shortly before 7.30am on Tuesday, July the 23rd.
00:20Police said that despite the best efforts of police and paramedics who commenced CPR, the man who was in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene.
00:28An East Sussex football club is trying to raise money for new equipment after reporting a break-in at the weekend.
00:33Bugstead Football Club said on its GoFundMe page that tools and equipment were stolen in the early hours of Sunday, July the 21st.
00:41The club said volunteers were deeply saddened by the incident because they used the equipment for the upkeep of the football pitch, to provide facilities, and to provide a recreation ground for the local community.
00:52The club now hopes to raise £8,000 to replace the equipment and make all of its facilities secure again.

01:03A Sussex wildlife group has announced that Lewis is now the home of a first-of-its-kind project in the UK.
01:09Railway Land Wildlife Trust said that dogs from the town are encouraged to act like wolves to help reseed native wildflowers at the Railway Land Local Nature Reserve.
01:19Staff are asking dog walkers to walk in the shadow of wolves after they pick up specially designed backpacks to attach to their animals.
01:27The Trust said that holes in the packs allow seeds to be deposited randomly as dogs walk through carefully selected areas of the reserve.
