00:15 - We weigh every rig that comes through the shop
00:19 and this is one of them.
00:21 So we're gonna find out exactly how much she weighs.
00:25 - And in order to do that, we're gonna play a little game,
00:27 a little prices right rules.
00:30 Everybody guesses the weight closest to the pin
00:32 wins the honor of winning.
00:35 So youngest goes first.
00:39 Gage, what do you think?
00:40 - 1800 pounds.
00:41 - 1800 pounds.
00:42 - 1800 pounds.
00:43 - 1800 pounds.
00:45 - All right, okay, all right.
00:47 - Bowman.

00:51 - One dollar, Bob.

01:03 You think this wrecking rig that can tow 2000 pounds,
01:07 that can hold 600 pounds in the bed,
01:09 four wheel drive with a rear locker
01:11 is less than 1600 pounds?
01:12 - Yep.
01:14 Yeah, I do, I do.
01:15 There ain't much to it, man.
01:16 She's not big.
01:17 - Not big, she's a smelt girl.

01:46 1662 pounds, 61 pounds.
01:51 Look at all the fuel sloshing.
01:53 - 1661.
01:54 - 1661, my stars.
01:57 All right, well that makes me the winner.

02:00 Shame on both of y'all.
02:02 1575, so 16 hundred and, no, 1661 pounds.
02:07 So yes, I was right.
02:12 This rig that can tow 2000 pounds,
02:15 that'll hold 600 pounds in the bed,
02:17 that is a reasonably capable trail rig, weighs less.
02:22 I don't even know what that's, that's less than that Jeep.
02:25 That's less than, it's nothing.
02:28 It doesn't weigh anything.
02:30 - Okay, so Aaron, that brings up the question,
02:34 why someone would choose a 700 over a 1000?
02:37 What is one of those reasons?
02:38 - One of those reasons is that it weighs
02:40 16 hundred and 60 pounds with fuel in it.
02:43 That is going to mean that you can tow it
02:46 with just about anything with a tow hitch on it.
02:48 I mean...
02:50 - Including some things that you wouldn't
02:51 typically think of, right?
02:53 - Yep.
02:54 - So, a minivan, something along the lines of
02:56 Ford Escape, a GTJ like Gage owns here.
03:00 None of those things are gonna really push past
03:02 the tow ratings on a lot of those vehicles,
03:04 which is great.
03:05 - Yep, Mazda CX-5 would tow that all day long
03:07 with a little yard trailer.
03:09 And, you know, if you got a bigger tow rig
03:12 that you cut the overdrive off to tow or whatever
03:15 for a heavier load, might just be able to leave it,
03:18 just tow it, it weighs a little enough.
03:20 - Yeah, way better fuel economy.
03:21 So, yeah, that's why you'd choose that.
