00:19 So we placed our order, and then we waited, and waited, and waited, but yesterday I got the call
00:23 from the guys down here at Alcoa Goodtimes, and they said if you get your butt in gear,
00:27 and you get down here, you can help put it together. So here we are. The rig showed up
00:31 late last night, they just rolled it off the truck just as it showed up and into the bay.
00:35 Let's take a look at what it looks like.
00:36 Yee-haw! Man, that's like seeing grandma in her nightdress. I don't know how I feel about this.
00:45 Oh, this is crazy. Oh my god, look at the knobbies. It is brand new. I'm here with Dustin.

03:09 So Dustin's tightening up the top of the ROPS right now. Each one of the bolts has
03:16 Loctite factory coating on it, and once you run them in and torque them down to 81 pound feet,
03:20 they're not going anywhere. It's always one, you know? Always. I like the pull. I like the pull.
03:26 Porsche. That's what Porsche does. It's light. It's fast.
03:31 Nice. So I'm getting Dustin's way. He told me to get out of there, so we're just going to let him
03:37 do what he does while I tell you a little bit about why we're so excited about this rig. We
03:42 got to drive it a couple months ago back in Nevada, and it was spectacular. Yeah, everybody knows it's
03:48 got 240 horsepower, but that is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what makes this machine
03:53 so rad. It's bigger and wider than any other X3 that's come before it. It's 78.1 inches wide,
04:01 which means this sucker will not fit on our Ramptec trailer. That is a little bit of a
04:05 bummer because it means we're stuck towing the rig around with our 22 foot car hauler,
04:09 but that's also part of the reason why the thing feels so stable and planted. We are talking about
04:13 25 inches of suspension travel up front, 26 inches of suspension travel in the rear, and of course,
04:19 the massive news is the seven speed dual clutch transmission, which is unlike anything else in
04:25 any other side by side I've had my hands on. We ordered an XRS, but without the smart shocks. I
04:31 love the smart shocks. Don't get me wrong, but I wanted to see what the aftermarket could do
04:35 on a rig like this. And of course, everybody's made a bunch of noise about the fact that you
04:38 can't put 37 inch tires on this thing. Doesn't matter. It comes with 32s. It's bigger than just
04:43 about anything else you can get out there. The 16 inch bead locks are super slick. So obviously,
04:48 this rig is going to drink a lot of gasoline. It has to have premium in it, which isn't really a
04:53 big deal. Almost every park that we go to has plenty of premium fuel, but it does have a massive
04:58 13.2 gallon tank. That's also part of the reason why this thing weighs so much. K&M says it weighs
05:04 2250 pounds bone dry. Once we get this thing back to the shop, we'll find out exactly how
05:10 much it weighs with a full tank and all the fluids.
05:13 Ooh.
05:21 Trimmy bits, trimmy bits, trimmy bits. So they shipped the rig all hunkered down
05:38 with these little straps here. Now it's come time to cut them.
05:41 That looks more like it. Glad this sucker is big. All right. So now that we've got those straps cut,
05:53 the suspension is slowly decompressing and you can see just how massive this thing is. I'm about 5'11",
05:59 maybe six foot in these boots. And it is every bit as tall as I am.
06:06 A little bit of the ug of the dugger.
06:07 All right. Let's check this out. Weather stripping for the first time on these
06:14 half doors. Super cool. Keeps all the water and the dust out.
06:17 Toit, toit, toit. All right. So we're getting ready to put the airbox on. Once the airbox is on and
06:26 the roof is on, they're going to hook up the programmer to it and then we get to go for a test
06:29 ride. Starting to look like a rig. Ooh, she's getting a roof.
06:51 All right. So that took us about two hours on the dog. This guy is a machine.
06:57 He gave me the last three parts. It's literally the only thing I'm really qualified to put on
07:01 these things. Three straps, going to hold the roof down. We're going to get this thing together,
07:05 going to hook it up to the computer and then we get to go ripping.
07:06 They're not about my first rodeo with these little shrubby-doos.
07:12 So we are now officially assembled. We've got the K&M hooked up to a system called Buds 2,
07:21 which will help program our key. K&M gives you multiple key options. It arrives in a valet mode.
07:27 So these guys can't go hooning around in the back with it.
07:30 We're going to unlock it and then we're going to go for a ride.
