Part 2 of 6 of the wartime period drama from 1991. As Hugh begins to recover in hospital he discovers that one of his RAF colleagues has been reported missing, presumed dead. He also discovers the extent of his burns when fiance Bunty pays a surprise visit but runs out of the hospital in shock. As he realizes that his life and womanizing ways will never be the same again, he turns to a former girlfriend for consolation. But his actions bring about an unexpected tragedy...

This is from my own collection, and was one of the many things Amanda Elwes appeared in during her golden spell of 1989-94, appearing here as Marjorie, an artist who Hugh has a fling with.
