00:00 Today I have a Jain recipe for you guys which is so flavourful,
00:03 That you can not only enjoy it during the 8 days of Paryushan,
00:06 But can also become a staple in your household.
00:09 So let's see the recipe for Rasila Muthias.
00:12 Let's start with making the Muthias first.
00:15 For that I have 1 cup of cooked Rice here.
00:18 Into this, I'm going to add in 1/2 a tbsp of Wheat Flour.
00:23 1 and 1/2 tbsp of Gram Flour.
00:28 1/2 a tsp of Red Chilli Powder.
00:30 1/4 tsp of Asafoetida.
00:34 1/2 a tsp of Dry Ginger Powder.
00:36 Salt to taste.
00:37 Mix all these ingredients together.
00:40 Slightly mash the Rice while mixing.
00:43 Shape them into oval Muthias.
00:47 Not too big in size.
00:50 In the same way, shape all the Muthias.
00:58 If it's sticking to your palms, you can apply a little bit of Oil.
01:01 Let's deep fry these.
01:07 Fry these till they are golden brown.
01:15 Let's get these out.
01:26 The Muthias are ready, and now we need to make the gravy for it.
01:29 So I have 1 and 1/2 cups of warmed Curd over here.
01:33 Make sure you just warm the Curd slightly.
01:36 And now into this, I'm going to add in 1 and 1/2 tbsp of Gram Flour.
01:41 1/4 tsp of Cumin Seed Powder.
01:44 1/4 tsp of Red Chilli Powder.
01:46 1/4 tsp of Turmeric Powder.
01:49 1/4 tsp of Dry Ginger Powder.
01:52 Salt to taste.
01:53 1/2 a cup of warm Water.
01:55 Whisk all these ingredients together.
01:58 Heat a tbsp of Oil.
02:05 I'm going to add in 1 tbsp of Mustard Seeds.
02:09 Once the Mustard Seeds start to splutter, add in 1 Dry Red Chilli.
02:14 Add in the churned Curd mixture.
02:18 Give this a good mix and boil it for at least a good 4-5 minutes.
02:24 On low heat.
02:26 Add in a tbsp of Kasuri Methi.
02:29 After 4-5 minutes of boiling, add in the Muthias.
02:39 Give it a mix.
02:43 Cover.
02:49 And let it simmer for 2 minutes.
02:53 Give this a final stir.
02:55 The Rasila Muthias are ready, turn off the flame and it's time to plate.
03:01 Enjoy these Rasila Muthias with some hot Rotis.
