00:00 So I'm Isla and I got A-Levels in French Biology and Chemistry.
00:07 And what grades did you get? I got three A*s actually.
00:12 So you're happy with that? Yeah, definitely really happy with that.
00:16 What are you doing next year with them? So I'm hoping to go to Leeds University
00:20 to study Medicine, so I'm really looking forward to that actually.
00:24 How do you feel getting your results today? I think initially I was really nervous, but
00:29 then it's like a massive relief as well, just because over summer I was maybe a tiny bit
00:35 nervous, but now I'm just really relieved and I'm looking forward to next year.
00:39 How are you celebrating? So I'm not sure yet, I think, I mean coming
00:43 into college today has been nice just to see everyone again, see some teachers, and then
00:47 later on I think I'm going to go out with my friends from college, so that should be
00:52 lovely. My name's Isaac Delaney and I got A's in
00:54 Biology, Chemistry and Maths. Are you happy with that?
00:58 I'm content with it, I'm content with it, you know. I wanted a little more, but I mean
01:02 it's been a hard year hasn't it? It's been a hard year as far as students' results go,
01:06 so I'm happy with what I can get. And where are you off to next year?
01:10 I'm going to Harvard, Harvard University. To study what?
01:14 I'll be studying Medicine. Are you excited?
01:17 Oh yeah, yeah, you know, I do Athletics and it's been a, it was hard juggling my A* Levels
01:23 along with trying to be the best athlete in the country at something, but what can you
01:29 do, what can you do? I've managed to make the most out of it and going over to Harvard
01:33 is like the best of both that I can possibly get.
01:35 And what sport is that? I do Shot Put.
01:39 Okay, so what was harder, getting to the top of Shot Put or your A* Levels?
01:44 Shot Put, Shot Put. It's a, you know, it's not as linear, you know, you study more, you
01:48 get better at academics, but Athletics, all year round and then piling the two on top
01:55 of each other, it just makes one go down and then the other goes down as the other goes
01:59 up, so it was difficult, but I did what I can and I'm happy with how both went.
02:03 And how are you celebrating today? I'll go out with my mates, I'll see what
02:07 they're all doing. Most of them are here celebrating their results, everyone's got into Uni, so
02:14 very proud of them, proud of myself and yeah, we'll see what comes next.
02:18 Hi, my name is Alexandra Kabinska and I got an A* in Biology, an A in Chemistry, an A
02:23 in Maths and an A in EPQ. And what are you up to next year?
02:27 So I'm going to study Medicine at Imperial College London.
02:31 And how did you feel today getting results? I was quite nervous instantly, but I got quite
02:35 excited because obviously I came with my friends and then coming into college made me feel
02:39 more relaxed and more happy and proud of my results.
02:42 So you're relieved? Yes, definitely.
02:44 Are you celebrating? Yes, definitely, with my friends.
02:48 What are you up to? We're just going to go out for a few drinks
02:50 tonight. My name is Finn McConnon, I just got two
02:55 A*s and an A, studying English Language and Literature and also Graphics and I'm going
03:00 to study at Oxford. What are you studying at Oxford?
03:02 I'm studying English Language and Literature as well.
03:05 And how do you feel getting your results today? It hit like a wave, like a tsunami and I'm
03:12 very, very, very glad. I'm very happy with what I got.
03:15 But it was a shock. And how are you celebrating?
03:20 I didn't sleep, so I'm probably going to go home and go to bed for an hour, but maybe
03:25 after that I'll go out for dinner. I'm Abby Wood, I got three Distinction Stars
03:29 in the BTEC Extended Diploma for Science and I'm off to BAE to do a Project Management
03:35 Degree Apprentice. The wait was the worst part of it all, the
03:41 wait for it. But by doing BTECs I kind of had an inkling
03:46 of what I was going to get beforehand and the college have been quite supportive, being
03:51 if you don't get the grades you can do this, other options.
03:56 How are you celebrating today? Going to Edinburgh tonight to go watch the
04:01 comedy Fringe, so bit of a change.
