00:02 - Hello and welcome to Latest TV News.
00:11 My name is Jacob Pannins,
00:13 I'm a reporter for Sussex World,
00:15 and I'm gonna be speaking to sports reporter Frankie Elliott
00:18 as we discuss Brighton's opening game of the season
00:20 against Luton, and we'll also be talking
00:22 about how we see the rest of the Premier League season
00:24 panning out.
00:25 But first, here are your top stories from across the county.
00:28 (upbeat music)
00:31 Wet, wild, and windy weather did not deter teams
00:36 from entering the Hastings Carnival Pram Race.
00:38 The event took place on Wednesday, August 2nd,
00:41 and saw teams in fancy dress racing through the streets
00:44 of the Old Town, pushing elaborate wheeled contraptions
00:47 while collecting money for local charities.
00:50 Themes included everything from Elton John
00:52 to Alice in Wonderland, and even Barbie.
00:54 On Saturday, August 6th, residents and visitors
00:57 were also treated to the carnival procession
00:59 in the Old Town.
01:00 Local residents have voiced their concerns
01:02 about a proposal at Eastbourne Borough Football Club.
01:05 Eastbourne Borough has placed an application
01:07 to change the licensing at its ground,
01:09 known as Priory Lane, to allow the club to hold events
01:12 for up to 2,000 people every Saturday, Sunday,
01:15 and on bank holidays.
01:17 There's also a request to allow the sale of alcohol
01:20 up to 1 a.m.
01:21 Some residents said they were not made aware
01:23 of the application long enough before the deadline
01:25 to make comments, and concerns have been raised
01:28 about the potential of antisocial behaviour
01:30 and the detriment to the environment
01:32 if the application is granted.
01:34 Residents were subsequently invited to the ground
01:36 to discuss the application, and new owner Simon Leslie
01:39 reaffirmed his blueprint for Eastbourne Borough
01:41 as a community club, while CEO Alan Williams
01:45 reminded the meeting that the whole grounds,
01:47 administered by the umbrella Acorns you trust,
01:50 may only ever be used for sporting, leisure,
01:53 and recreational use.
01:55 Eastbourne Borough Council leader Stephen Holt
01:56 has responded to claims from local MP Caroline Ansell
01:59 that a council-owned building in the town
02:01 has discharged thousands of litres of raw sewage
02:04 into the sea.
02:05 Mrs Ansell and Councillor Penny D'Carra
02:07 joined Southern Water's Missed Connections team
02:10 to see work firsthand, and were updated on progress
02:13 in finding sewage and wastewater pipes
02:15 wrongly and illegally connected to surface water drainage.
02:19 The MP said she was shown a bathroom
02:21 that was connected to surface water pipes
02:23 that go straight into the sea, taking untreated sewage
02:26 and other waste items like toilet paper with it.
02:29 Mr Holt said the issue is being fixed,
02:31 the facilities in the building are not being used,
02:34 and that he believes council officers
02:35 are waiting for Southern Water to approve
02:37 the final repairs necessary.
02:39 The much-loved wavelength public art
02:41 is set to return to Bottle Alley Columns in Hastings
02:44 thanks to the efforts of local artists and volunteers.
02:47 The 480-metre lower deck promenade,
02:50 which runs from the pier to Warrior Square,
02:52 has been covered in graffiti tags,
02:53 which have spread from the pillars
02:55 to the 1930s bottle glass walls,
02:57 where it is difficult to remove.
02:59 Originally conceived by Xero as a temporary installation
03:02 and commissioned by the Hastings Art Festival
03:04 Coastal Currents, this art became a long-term fixture
03:08 due to the positive public response.
03:10 But Hastings Council say despite their best efforts,
03:13 and those of the artists and the Foreshore Trust,
03:16 it became impossible to continually restore the paintwork.
03:20 Now, thanks to Daniel Hardiker and Neil Hetherington
03:23 from Xero, as well as local volunteers,
03:25 new artwork is being created.
03:27 An area in Sussex is one of the safest places
03:30 in the UK to live, according to research
03:32 from a hardware company.
03:34 The new study from Hyatt Hardware analyzed 2022 crime data
03:37 from across the UK's local authority areas,
03:40 and found that Wealdon in East Sussex
03:42 ranked fourth in the country,
03:43 with an overall breaking and entering score
03:45 of 0.69 out of 10.
03:48 Wealdon only faces 1.62 robberies, 16.37 burglaries,
03:53 and 24.89 vehicle offenses per 100,000 people.
03:58 The study looked at the number of robberies,
04:00 burglaries, vehicle offenses,
04:02 and deaths from persons per 100,000 people
04:06 to reveal where in the UK is the safest to live
04:08 with the least amount of home break-ins.
04:10 Now let's hear from sports reporter Frankie Elliott,
04:13 as he brings us all the latest news
04:14 from Brighton and Hove Albion.
04:16 (upbeat music)
04:18 - Hello and welcome to our sports chat.
04:22 I've got sports reporter Frankie Elliott with me here.
04:25 And first of all, we're gonna be speaking
04:26 about some of the latest from Brighton and Hove Albion.
04:29 So there's been a pretty major sale, hasn't there, Frankie?
04:32 - Yes, finally the club have sold Robert Sanchez,
04:35 their goalkeeper.
04:36 It's been a transfer deal
04:38 and that's been rumbling on for quite a while now,
04:40 but he's finally gone.
04:41 He sold for around 25 million pounds to Chelsea,
04:44 the club he was expected to leave.
04:46 It's a player they wanted to get out the door
04:48 as quick as possible,
04:49 so it's mission accomplished on that front.
04:52 And he joins up with Chelsea now
04:54 and another deal between these two clubs.
04:57 - Do you think it was a good deal on Brighton's part?
04:59 - Well, it works perfectly for them
05:00 because they wanted to get him out.
05:02 He was a player that was very unhappy
05:04 ever since he was dropped by Roberto de Zerbi in March.
05:07 He was the first team goalkeeper
05:09 for the last 18 months before March of this year.
05:13 He was dropped and then didn't take that very well.
05:16 Asked to be left out of the squad
05:17 for the end of the Premier League season just gone
05:22 and also the pre-season tour that we've just had of America.
05:25 So the Brighton would clearly had lost that relationship
05:29 with Robert Sanchez and he wanted to leave as well.
05:31 So it works perfect for them
05:32 because they've got someone out of the club
05:34 that doesn't want to be there
05:35 and that's the most important part.
05:38 - And do you think Brighton fans will be quite sad
05:39 to see the back of Robert Sanchez
05:41 after he was a fan favourite for a period of time?
05:44 - Yeah, no, he certainly was.
05:46 He certainly was, but unfortunately,
05:48 the way he's behaved in the last couple of months,
05:50 I think a lot of fans have fallen out of love with him.
05:53 I think from the club's perspective, financially speaking,
05:55 they're still very happy to have got
05:56 25 million pounds from him.
05:59 It seems that that's a very, very good deal for them
06:00 considering that he hasn't played much football
06:02 for six months.
06:03 He's become their third choice goalkeeper
06:06 and to still receive 25 million pounds
06:08 with two years left still on his Brighton deal as well,
06:11 really works well for them.
06:13 For Brighton fans themselves,
06:14 they won't be too disheartened
06:15 because they've obviously got Jason Steele there
06:17 who was Sanchez's replacement from March onwards
06:20 and he was playing brilliantly
06:21 towards the end of last season.
06:23 And also the new goalkeeper, Bart Verbruggen,
06:25 who they signed for 16 million pounds
06:27 from Anderlecht in the summer.
06:28 So they'll be happy to see that they've got a backup
06:31 for the sale of Sanchez and also be happy to see
06:34 the back of someone that doesn't want to be
06:35 at the football club as well.
06:37 - And obviously we can't have one of these sports segments
06:39 without talking about Moises Caicedo.
06:41 What's the latest with him?
06:43 - So yes, now we've rumbled on again.
06:45 We're another week into this saga.
06:47 We're a week away from the Premier League season
06:49 and Moises Caicedo is still a Brighton player.
06:52 However, in the last week or so,
06:54 we obviously had the issues regarding Caicedo,
06:58 what he said at the end of season player awards
07:02 in which he said he wanted to leave Brighton
07:04 despite winning player of the season,
07:06 both from the fans and his teammates as well.
07:09 So that was the first indication that Caicedo
07:11 had actually said out loud in public
07:14 that he wanted to leave the club.
07:15 He's gone one step further this week
07:17 and he has not turned up to training
07:19 on the Monday of this week.
07:21 Now, we do not know if that was because of his injury
07:24 that had kept him out of Sunday's pre-season game
07:26 at the Amex Stadium, the final pre-season game
07:29 for Brighton before the start of the Premier League campaign.
07:33 But it is apparent that Caicedo is trying
07:35 to force this move through.
07:38 But Brighton, as ever, will stay firm on their stance
07:41 that they want £100 million for Caicedo
07:43 and will accept nothing less.
07:45 We believe that Chelsea are preparing
07:46 their fifth bid of the summer,
07:49 having obviously had the first four rejected.
07:51 That fourth and final bid was around £80 million.
07:54 So they still need to bump it up from it
07:57 by at least £20 million if they're gonna see
07:59 an offer accepted.
08:00 We're not sure if that will be the case,
08:04 but proposal is being prepared
08:05 and they are still very, very keen
08:06 to get Caicedo signed with a Stamford Bridge contract
08:11 before the start of the Premier League season this weekend.
08:13 But as we stand, Brighton are not changing their stance
08:16 on the Caicedo deal and he's still a Brighton player
08:19 and he will be expected to be a part
08:21 of the first team squad for their first game
08:24 against Luton Town on Saturday.
08:25 - Do you think there's any chance,
08:27 like you said, Caicedo may be forcing through a move
08:29 that Brighton might lower their asking price?
08:32 - I still don't think so.
08:34 Brighton have always had a very, very firm stance
08:36 on the sales of their players.
08:38 They were happy to let them go,
08:39 but only for the right price.
08:41 And that price is £100 million.
08:44 And that is their stance.
08:46 They see that Caicedo has signed onto a long-term deal.
08:49 He signed that long-term deal over this year.
08:51 That means their hands are not tied
08:53 in being forced to sell him.
08:55 He may be unhappy, but he's still contracted the club
08:59 and he must be aware that that contract
09:02 still runs for three and a half years.
09:03 So if he doesn't get the deal,
09:05 if this Chelsea don't come up with the £100 million
09:08 before the end of the transfer window,
09:09 he'll be expected to still play for Brighton
09:12 until January at least.
09:14 So I don't think Brighton work that way.
09:17 Obviously it depends how far Caicedo takes this, of course.
09:19 I mean, if you're looking at him as a player,
09:21 he's still got a lot to enjoy this season.
09:23 He's going to play Europa League football with Brighton.
09:25 He's still playing in a club that was
09:27 one of the best running the country
09:28 and playing some of the best football last season.
09:31 So, you know, there's not too much to deter him
09:33 from doing that again.
09:36 But we'll have to wait and see on how far he pushes this,
09:38 whether he didn't turn up to training yesterday
09:40 because he chose not to or because he was injured,
09:43 and will really deter what his mindset is going forward.
09:47 - And obviously bringing us forward to this Saturday,
09:49 first game of the season at home against Luton Town,
09:52 do you think he'll start in that fixture?
09:54 - I don't think he'll start.
09:55 I don't think he'll start, mainly because
09:57 what we were told by the club is that
09:59 he's carrying a knock at the moment,
10:00 so that'll be the first reason.
10:02 I don't think he will be fit enough to play.
10:04 He hasn't really played a full 90 minutes
10:06 since the end of last season either.
10:07 Pre-season's been a bit chop and change
10:10 and all over the place because of, obviously,
10:12 these Chelsea transfer dealings.
10:13 He's not played a lot of minutes on the pitch.
10:16 But then on top of that, I think all the noise
10:18 that's surrounding this potential fifth bid by Chelsea
10:22 for him may mean that De Serbi wants to just
10:25 keep Caicedo on the bench.
10:26 And we may be seeing Caicedo on the bench
10:28 or being used sporadically until the transfer window
10:31 is closed because it's a good way to keep him out
10:34 of the noise that surrounds, the drama that surrounds
10:37 the end of the transfer window and obviously,
10:39 this deal in particular.
10:40 So my bet would be he'll be in the matchday squad,
10:43 but I don't think he'll be starting.
10:45 - And like you said, with that noise,
10:46 there's gonna be, you know, we've spoken about it
10:49 week after week, Sky News, it's all over the place.
10:51 The whole footballing world is talking about
10:52 what's gonna happen to Moises Caicedo.
10:54 Do you think that disrupts the team a little bit
10:57 and kind of puts them on edge 'cause they don't know
10:58 if their teammate's gonna be there tomorrow
11:00 or for the next fixture?
11:01 - I think the fact that Brighton is so used to selling
11:04 their best players in the last two or three years,
11:06 I think they're probably too experienced
11:09 to dealing with these situations.
11:10 And the squad, I think, will be fine.
11:12 I think De Serbi is very well aware that Brighton
11:14 is a selling club still.
11:16 It's obviously not got the power of the big six clubs
11:18 where it can keep hold of its best players.
11:20 So he would have been prepared for this
11:21 and was aware that Caicedo would be a part
11:24 of these transfer stories.
11:26 I think the squad, most of the players,
11:27 you look at people like Lewis Dunk, Soli Marts,
11:29 they're used to seeing great players come in and leave.
11:32 So they would have been used to these sort of stories
11:34 circulating around players as well.
11:36 So they'll be used to it.
11:37 I think the person that'd be drained the most
11:39 by this story would be Caicedo.
11:41 And that's why I think it might affect his performances
11:44 at the start of the season to be playing in games
11:46 where he would rather be further afield
11:48 or there are potential new pastures for him
11:52 still on the horizon.
11:54 - Brilliant, thank you, Frankie.
11:55 And make sure you tune in to part two of latest TV news
11:59 as Frankie and I will be discussing
12:00 how we see the rest of the Premier League season panning out
12:03 and we'll also be talking a bit more in depth
12:04 about Brighton's opening game of the season
12:06 against Luton Town.
12:07 Hello and welcome back to part two of latest TV news.
12:18 I've got sports reporter Frankie Elliott with me here
12:21 and we're gonna be talking about Brighton's
12:22 first Premier League game of the season
12:24 against Luton Town.
12:25 And we'll also be discussing how we see the rest of the season
12:27 panning out for all 20 teams in the Premier League.
12:29 So Frankie, Brighton's first game at home
12:32 against Luton Town on Saturday.
12:34 What do you think the result will be there?
12:36 - Yeah, I mean, Brighton are clear favourites, obviously.
12:39 Playing at home for one is always gonna put them
12:42 in a favourable position.
12:43 They play very, very well at the Amex
12:45 and finish very strongly there
12:47 at the end of last season under Roberto Di Zerbi.
12:50 But obviously they're playing Luton Town as well,
12:52 who not only are a promoted side,
12:54 which always is a difficult thing
12:56 to come into the Premier League as,
12:58 but it's the first time they've been promoted
12:59 to the Premier League in 30 years.
13:01 So this is a team, they're a surprise package.
13:03 They very much shocked a lot of people
13:05 by getting promoted last year.
13:07 I mean, less than six years ago,
13:09 they were playing League Two football
13:10 and they have a number of their squad
13:12 that were a part of that League Two team.
13:15 So there's a number of players
13:16 that have never played in the Premier League before.
13:18 They haven't been able to recruit many major players
13:21 or stars that have played Premier League football before.
13:23 So there's a lack of experience at the top flight,
13:26 playing against one of the best teams from last season.
13:28 So you would fancy very much Brighton
13:29 to win that first game.
13:31 - And like you spoke about,
13:32 obviously they've just got promoted.
13:34 It's been a fairy tale story.
13:35 Adrenaline's gonna be running with the fans,
13:37 with the staff, with the players as well.
13:39 Do you think that could be quite difficult?
13:41 'Cause we've seen in the past that these promoted teams,
13:43 the first two or three games of the season
13:45 give any team in the Premier League a run for their money.
13:47 - Yeah, absolutely.
13:48 Absolutely, because it's all very exciting for them.
13:52 I'm sure there's gonna be a lot of hatters,
13:53 fans coming down to the South Coast for that weekend.
13:56 I'm sure they're gonna bring a lot of noise
13:58 and a lot of energy,
13:59 and the Luton players will be hoping
14:00 to take that in with them to that game.
14:03 And like you say, Brighton,
14:04 as brilliant as they were last season,
14:06 they're not used to being favourites.
14:07 In fact, if you look at their results
14:09 towards the end of last season,
14:11 all their defeats and all their poor performances
14:13 came against teams they were expected to beat
14:15 from the lower half of the table
14:16 who were fighting relegation.
14:17 We expect Luton to be one of those teams this year,
14:20 but they'll be going into it obviously on zero points,
14:22 same as Brighton, so they will fancy their chances for sure.
14:25 But a lot of pressure going into that game,
14:27 but you still fancy Brighton
14:28 because of the quality of the players they have
14:30 and the quality of their manager
14:32 to come out with the three points.
14:34 - And do you think there could be an issue
14:35 with Brighton playing against a team like Luton?
14:37 Obviously, we saw it towards the end of this season
14:39 with that devastating loss at home against Everton,
14:42 and Everton play quite a game
14:44 where they don't want the ball all the time,
14:45 and Luton are quite similar.
14:46 Do you think that could be something
14:48 that could be quite difficult for Roberto de Zerbi's men?
14:50 - Well, absolutely.
14:51 Absolutely, that will definitely be the tactic.
14:54 I expect Brighton to have over 60% possession,
14:57 as they always do.
14:57 That is Roberto de Zerbi's style of football,
15:00 and Luton Town will try to catch from the break.
15:03 The issue Luton Town will have
15:04 is whether they have the attacking firepower
15:07 to get the goal.
15:08 Obviously, Brighton last year had much more experienced
15:11 Premier League players going forward
15:12 to grab those five goals at the Emmick Stadium.
15:15 We don't see that in the Luton front line,
15:18 but like you say, that is the best way to beat Brighton
15:20 is to invite them on, invite the pressure on,
15:23 and then hit them on the counter-attack.
15:24 So it'd be interesting to see if they can pull it off,
15:26 but the golfing class should probably tell too much
15:30 at the end of the day.
15:31 - And if I had to twist your arm
15:32 and you had to give me a score prediction,
15:34 what would you go for?
15:35 - I would go for 3-1 Brighton.
15:37 - 3-1 Brighton.
15:38 Goal scorers?
15:39 - Oh, I think João Pedro, I think,
15:40 will open his account for the season.
15:42 Obviously, the new 30 million pound man.
15:45 He will be, I'm assuming, will be making his debut up front.
15:48 I can see him grabbing a goal.
15:50 I also go with Solih March as well,
15:51 coming back off a long-term injury.
15:53 I think I'd like to see him grab a goal.
15:54 And we'll also go for Karim Matoma,
15:57 one of Brighton's best players last season.
15:59 I think he'll get off to a firing start as well.
16:01 - Fantastic.
16:02 And obviously, if we're looking ahead
16:03 towards the rest of the Premier League season,
16:04 how do you see it panning out for Brighton,
16:06 obviously now in four competitions?
16:08 - Well, they've got a good start to the season.
16:10 They play, they only play one of the big six
16:13 in their first six games of the campaign.
16:16 That's against Manchester United.
16:18 So there's a chance for them to get off to a good start.
16:20 There's also an opportunity for them to cement
16:22 their position in the higher end of the table
16:26 before the Europa League campaign kicks off September.
16:28 That's when we expect the season to get more difficult.
16:31 They'll be playing three times a week,
16:33 obviously playing Thursday and then Sunday as well,
16:35 which has eaten up a lot of teams previously
16:39 who haven't had the big squads of the big six
16:41 to deal with that challenge of playing European football
16:44 and domestic football at the same time.
16:46 So I imagine that's when their season will start
16:48 to waver in sorts of their Premier League form.
16:51 But there's a lot of quality in this side still,
16:54 and they've still got one of the best managers
16:56 in Europe as well, who's brought this brilliant style
16:58 of football to the Premier League.
17:00 We hope he can carry on.
17:01 He's signed some brilliant players
17:04 over the summer, five players you'd expect
17:05 to challenge the first team almost instantly
17:08 from going into this game against Luton Town on Saturday.
17:12 I still think Brighton will finish
17:13 in the top 10 this season.
17:14 I think that should be their first aim.
17:16 But I don't think it'll be as brilliant as last season.
17:18 I would imagine they'll finish somewhere around
17:20 eighth or ninth.
17:21 - And how do you see them performing in Europe
17:24 and performing in the League Cup and the FA Cup as well?
17:26 Obviously getting to the semi-final
17:28 of the FA Cup this season.
17:29 - In Europe, I think, obviously as with any club
17:33 who enters Europe for the first time ever
17:35 or has very rarely entered Europe,
17:37 you're looking to get out of the group stage.
17:39 And the good thing for Brighton is the fact
17:40 they qualified for the Europa League is actually,
17:43 they need to finish in the top three of their group
17:45 this time around because obviously the top two
17:47 would go through to the Europa League knockout stage,
17:50 but third place would get them
17:51 to the Europa Conference knockout stage,
17:54 obviously the competition,
17:54 the third biggest competition in Europe.
17:57 So they would obviously go down a level,
17:59 but still playing in Europe.
18:00 So I think that should be their aim.
18:02 Obviously under Roberto de Zubi,
18:03 he'll be aiming to win the group
18:05 and go on as far as possible.
18:07 But if they can get out of the group stage,
18:08 then you never know with knockout football.
18:09 It's all gonna be very, very exciting.
18:11 The Amex will be an amazing atmosphere for any game,
18:14 whether it be knockout or group stage.
18:17 So I would see Brighton having the quality to do it,
18:20 obviously depends on their draw.
18:22 If they are drawn in a tough group,
18:24 you don't know how they will compete away from home
18:26 in Europe, that's a very difficult thing to manage.
18:29 But if they went into the drop into the Conference League
18:32 and a third place, you would really fancy them
18:33 to go really far in that competition
18:35 due to the quality of the teams in that competition.
18:39 So I think for me, there is a potential there
18:42 to do very well in either the Europa League
18:43 or the Conference League, but we'll have to wait and see
18:47 come the draw at the start of September.
18:49 - And obviously there's a lot of competitions
18:51 they're competing in.
18:52 Do you think there's a chance de Zubi might pick one
18:53 and might think we'll play some younger players,
18:56 we'll play maybe a weaker team
18:58 because we wanna sort of drop those fixtures
18:59 as quickly as possible?
19:01 - No, I don't think that's the way he works.
19:03 I think we saw, so he was manager for both their League Cup
19:07 and FA Cup exit last year.
19:08 Obviously he took them a lot further
19:10 in the FA Cup to the semi-final.
19:12 But it was a key moment when they lost
19:13 in the quarter-final of the League Cup to Charlton,
19:17 League One Charlton at the time, and he was struggling.
19:20 They lost to them on penalties
19:21 and it was just after the World Cup
19:23 and de Zubi had actually named quite a strong team
19:26 for that game.
19:27 And for a number of weeks after that exit,
19:28 he kept on referring to that as a really missed opportunity.
19:31 He was very upset by the fact
19:32 they got knocked out of the League Cup,
19:33 which is of the four competitions
19:35 they're gonna be in this year,
19:37 the smallest and most, you would say the least important
19:41 to fans and the club in general.
19:44 But de Zubi will see it as an opportunity
19:45 to grab silverware, which is obviously
19:47 how most managers' success is managed.
19:51 So I think you will see young players used throughout,
19:54 whether they come off the bench,
19:55 whether they maybe start games here and there
19:57 in both the Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup,
19:59 and even the Europa League,
20:02 but you will see a number,
20:02 you will always see a very, very strong team name
20:05 because de Zubi wants to win, he wants to do well,
20:07 and he wants to stamp his authority
20:08 as being one of the best managers in Europe.
20:11 - And if we divert our attention back to the Premier League,
20:13 generally speaking, how do you see it panning out?
20:15 Who's gonna win?
20:16 Who's gonna finish in the top four?
20:17 Who's gonna get those European spots?
20:19 - Well, it's hard to see past Manchester City, as always.
20:22 I think treble winners
20:24 and playing always their exceptional football,
20:27 but more than that, they're just, they're born winners.
20:30 They're born winners, and they showed that
20:32 even when they were behind Arsenal at Christmas
20:35 and in February, they always knew that
20:37 when it comes to those final 10, 11 games of the season,
20:41 they can get on that run of winning game after game
20:43 and just chasing any team down.
20:46 You'd still fancy Arsenal to be up there as well.
20:48 I mean, they've recruited well over the summer
20:50 with Timber coming in, Kai Herverts as well,
20:53 Declan Rice, the major signing midfield.
20:55 They seem to have recruited in all the right areas
20:58 and building on the success of last year
21:00 where they obviously finished second
21:01 and came within a whisker of challenging City.
21:03 So I think they'll come back again,
21:05 bigger, better and stronger.
21:06 And outside of that, I don't really see much challenge
21:09 to Manchester City, if I'm being truthfully told.
21:12 Your third best choice would probably be Manchester United.
21:15 Obviously, under Eric Ten Haag,
21:18 they made a lot of progress last year,
21:20 managed to get a trophy for the first time in seven years
21:22 and managed to get Champions League football.
21:25 If they continue to develop under him
21:27 and play more in his style as he continues to grow
21:30 and get the club back to where they were,
21:33 you feel they might also be in with an outside chance.
21:35 But I think it's a season too soon for them.
21:38 And the rest of the clubs, you would say,
21:39 are still playing catch up
21:40 to this brilliant Manchester City side.
21:43 - Thank you, Frankie.
21:44 And thank you for tuning in.
