00:00 Hi, I'm Andrew Snowden, Lancashire's Police and Crime Commissioner and on this week's
00:04 video for the update video I'm out on an operation in Lancashire at the heart of the motorway
00:09 network in Lancashire which is targeting dangerous drivers. Whether it be overloaded HGVs, whether
00:15 it be drink and drug drivers, whether it be vehicles carrying illegal waste, all the different
00:20 things that contribute to making our roads unsafe and make the risk of casualties on
00:25 our motorway network even greater. It's targeting organised crime gang activities all the way
00:30 through to those dangerous drivers that put other people at risk. We've got all the different
00:35 agencies with us today, we've got our fantastic roads policing teams with us, we've also got
00:39 the Immigration Service, we've got Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, we've got the Environment
00:43 Agency, we've got local councils, we've got driving standards, all of these people are
00:48 here to make sure that whether it be everything from dodgy brakes, old tyres through to overloaded
00:53 vehicles or illegal activity that they can be checked and where necessary enforcement
00:58 action be taken. So long may this continue.
