00:00 Hi everyone, I'm going to show you how to create three types of date night looks using
00:12 only clean cosmetics.
00:14 And clean cosmetics are basically cosmetics that are formulated with skin friendly ingredients
00:19 and environmentally friendly ingredients.
00:21 So that means that they're free of harsh chemicals and they're basically more natural and I think
00:29 you're going to really like the looks.
00:32 So before we started this tutorial I actually applied some of this facial lotion from Ellie's
00:36 Body Shop and despite having only six ingredients that are all natural, it acts just like any
00:42 other mainstream lotion so it's really great.
00:45 So we're going to begin on Sabia's face using a little bit of foundation and this foundation
00:52 is just going to even out her complexion.
00:56 It's just a very light coverage, she has beautiful skin already so we're just really doing just
01:02 a little touch up basically.
01:03 You can use a brush, a sponge, use your fingers to blend it out.
01:09 It just takes a little bit and look at that, a lot of the redness is already taken away.
01:14 And this foundation is by Elite Cosmetics.
01:17 Foundation is probably my favorite part to apply.
01:22 Yeah, because it just makes a huge difference.
01:25 And then you just look like you have no makeup but you have clear skin.
01:29 If you're dealing with darker, more pigmented dark circles and you know you just had a really
01:36 restless night, a good tip is to use concealer with a pink undertone for ashiness or dark
01:44 circles and that will correct the color.
01:45 Yeah, I didn't know that.
01:47 Thank you.
01:48 Every day, you're welcome.
01:51 I'm honestly fascinated by Clean Cosmetics because when you read the ingredients you
01:55 can see that it's made with a bunch of essential oils, extracts from different vegetables and
02:00 stuff like that so it's really kind of nutrition for your skin and as you may probably know
02:05 your skin can absorb up to 60% of what you put on it so it's kind of nice to have harsh
02:11 chemicals replaced with nutrition almost.
02:14 Now that we've finished the liquid foundation and the concealer, we're going to go in and
02:18 powder.
02:19 It's important to powder your makeup, powder your foundation, powder your concealer and
02:23 set it so that it doesn't move and also it gives you a more matte effect if you're going
02:28 for that kind of a look.
02:30 And this powder foundation is really great as well because it gives a lot of coverage,
02:35 surprisingly.
02:36 If you want more coverage, what you do is you do more of like a pressing motion with
02:40 your brush or sponge and if you want just to dust it over a little bit to get rid of
02:46 any shine and you don't really want too much coverage, then what you can do is just kind
02:51 of dust it lightly.
02:54 Choose a color that is a little bit more ashy because we're going to be creating a contour
02:58 under the cheekbones to really bring out her cheekbones.
03:00 So you just start right up against the ear and take it down.
03:05 You want to create that nice little hollow there.
03:09 Oh it's really pigmented, I only had to like tap just a little bit and you can start blending.
03:15 Don't drag it too low because then you're dragging the face down.
03:18 Keep it high within this one third of the face, the middle third.
03:22 She's just creating a very nice shadow.
03:24 You can see that it's really really pigmented and really bringing out her cheekbones.
03:32 I always use like a clean brush right after to blend it out a little bit.
03:44 So contouring, where you add shadows, you want to recede that part of the face.
03:49 Where you add light, which we're going to be doing highlighting her face, that's where
03:53 you want to bring the features out.
03:56 So we're going to be using this product from Elate in the shade Wonder.
04:00 It's a universal cream, well that's what it's called, and basically it's called a universal
04:05 cream because you can actually use it for blush and you can also use it for your lips.
04:10 You can put it right on to your face with your fingers or with the little applicator
04:15 itself and blend it out with your fingers.
04:17 It's really workable so have fun with it.
04:22 So high points at the cheeks.
04:24 And I love it because I use the universal cream as a blush and a lip color.
04:30 So actually that just reduces the amount of things that you have in your makeup bag.
04:34 Whenever you're on the go you want to kind of have a more concentrated amount of products
04:39 in your makeup bag.
04:43 So now that we've finished the contouring and highlighting on Sophia's face, we're going
04:47 to continue with just a little bit of blush to bring some color to the face.
04:51 And this shade is called Elation by Elate.
04:54 Yeah, so you can smile and you can really see the apples just kind of pop out.
05:01 Just putting just a little bit on the apples of the cheek.
05:05 So now we're going to deepen the sockets of her lids and we're going to do that by using
05:09 just the powder foundation that we had used earlier to contour her face.
05:14 You're going to put your little blending brush right into the socket and you're going to
05:17 feel it because it's going to hug right around the eyeball and you can kind of see that.
05:23 You can feel where the crease is.
05:25 So we're going to fill in Sophia's brows.
05:27 I mean she has beautiful brows, you don't really need to.
05:30 But first thing you do is just to groom them a little bit and comb them out.
05:34 Make sure they're all going in the appropriate direction.
05:38 So it's really just to give it a little bit of a shape that's right.
05:48 And you always want to darken the outside more than you do the inside of the eyebrow.
05:56 And this is my favorite mascara ever.
05:58 It's by Marinari and I've actually recommended it to a few friends and they've used it.
06:04 And the response is always the same.
06:06 Wow, it actually really works.
06:08 And it smells good.
06:09 It does kind of smell good.
06:10 Yeah, it does.
06:11 So what I do is always take out the mascara and just take a little bit of the excess off
06:15 because there's always more than enough on the mascara wand.
06:18 Usually what I do is rub the mascara wand downwards on the lashes first and do a little
06:23 wiggling motion.
06:24 And then I go from the bottom and wiggle it upwards.
06:33 So the finishing touch, the cherry on top of the look, will be the last thing we use.
06:39 So that's the Elation Universal Cream again.
06:43 And which she used for her blush.
06:45 So we use that for my blush.
06:46 And then this is a great way to actually color coordinate the whole color scheme of your
06:51 face.
06:52 Exactly.
06:53 So yeah, and it's a great color for your lips and your cheeks and you look cute.
06:59 And I love the beautiful pop of pink.
07:03 It's my favorite color.
07:04 Is it?
07:05 Out of the whole collection?
07:06 Mm-hmm.
07:07 It's like rosy.
07:08 Pink's my favorite color, so any shade of pink I love.
07:09 And rub your lips together.
07:20 A simple, sweet girl next door look.
07:27 So now we're going to go on to the more playful look.
07:29 So we're going to just add a couple pops of color.
07:32 I made a fishtail braid because that's kind of--
07:34 Yeah, she changed her hair.
07:36 Yeah.
07:37 And yeah.
07:38 Yeah.
07:39 Okay, so yeah, exactly what Sophia said.
07:40 We are going to add more color to this look.
07:44 Just give it a pop of color.
07:45 And it's a very easy change from that day look now into a more fun, flirty look.
07:49 You want to go out or you just feel like you need a little bit more color in your life.
07:54 We've activated it with water.
07:56 The eyeshadow.
07:57 And now we're going to just go ahead and pop that on to the center of her lid.
08:02 Yeah, and you can just see that color is just showing up beautifully.
08:11 And all it takes is just a little bit of water.
08:14 And really give your brush a good swirl in that product.
08:21 It's really nice.
08:22 The water adds kind of like a-- it gives it like a sheen and an iridescence instead of
08:27 like a matte finish.
08:28 It's more iridescent.
08:29 Okay, so now we're going to add a little bit of yellow just to pop a color on the center
08:36 of Sophia's lids.
08:38 I'm using a very dense brush because I'm using it dry.
08:41 So that way it gathers a lot of the color and it densely packs it on.
08:45 And look at that color show up.
08:48 And you can just pat it out with your finger.
08:54 And open.
08:55 It just gives her eyes just look a lot more round.
09:01 Now we're going to intensify the eye makeup just a little bit by adding a dark purple
09:05 to the outer corner and a little bit to the crease.
09:10 And again, just do that motion on the outer corner and find the socket and just give it
09:16 a very light blend.
09:17 And you can blend out the edges with a clean brush.
09:27 Now we're going to add just a little bit more mascara just to make the lashes--
09:31 Make a little flurry here.
09:32 Yeah.
09:33 Fatten them up a little bit more and thicken them up.
09:36 So right now the lashes are already dry and they have a certain shape.
09:41 So what I like to do is push against them and add product and deposit the product in
09:45 between the lashes rather than combing out the shape that we have already.
09:51 And now to add to the flirtiness or playfulness of the look, we're just going to add a little
09:55 bit more color to the cheeks.
09:58 This shade is called Love.
09:59 Yeah.
10:00 And it's violet.
10:01 Are you feeling pampered?
10:04 Yes.
10:05 And you can blend it out again with a clean brush.
10:13 And now we're going to finish off with a lip color by Olate.
10:17 It's called Spirit.
10:18 Spirit.
10:19 Yeah.
10:20 So we're just continuing with that purple theme.
10:22 We had put a lavender all over the lid.
10:25 We deepened her socket and her crease with a darker purple.
10:29 And now we are just going to finish off with a beautiful lilac color.
10:33 It's a very moisturizing lipstick.
10:36 Can you see the texture?
10:43 And it's very pigmented.
10:49 And rub those together.
10:50 Perfect.
10:51 Oh my God, I love that.
10:56 So now we have the matte lipstick look from Olate, but we also have this amazing lip gloss
11:03 by Mary Natty.
11:05 And it's kind of a similar color.
11:06 It's a light pink.
11:07 And if you just want to add a little bit of gloss, a little bit of girliness to your look,
11:13 then you can add that on top.
11:16 Gloss always plumps up the lips and makes them look bigger.
11:20 And that's always a plus.
11:29 A playful, flirty look.
11:39 Now we're starting with our evening look, which will be much darker.
11:42 And then we'll be using some darker lipstick too.
11:46 We're going to turn this look very sultry.
11:48 So first, order of business, we get to tone down the blush a little bit because we're
11:53 adding a lot of color to the eyes and we're adding a very strong lip.
11:57 So you don't want too much going on on the face.
12:00 So we definitely want to tone down the blush.
12:02 And a very easy way to do that is to use the powder foundation.
12:05 And we're just going to pat that in.
12:08 Takes it right down.
12:10 It's still there.
12:11 We still want a little bit of color on the face, but we want to get rid of most of it.
12:17 We can even intensify the contour just a little bit more because it's an evening look and
12:22 it's more sultry.
12:23 So we're going in with that powder foundation in Caramel right under the hollows of the
12:29 cheek once again.
12:32 And I'm really, really taking it up a notch.
12:36 And then blending that out with a clean brush.
12:47 We're going to be deepening the eyes with a nice intense black eyeshadow and then we're
12:52 going to give her a beautiful winged line.
12:54 I'm going to start at the top here.
12:56 I'm going along the top lash line.
12:59 Just above the lashes actually.
13:03 And it does not have to be all neat because we're going to be smudging it out in just
13:09 a second.
13:10 But try your best to keep it contained so it's not overly messy.
13:12 But don't worry if it's not the neatest thing in the world.
13:16 So in addition to having kind of like a dark shadow, if you wet the tip of the brush it
13:23 can double up as a black eyeliner.
13:26 And we're just going to show you in a few seconds how to achieve that.
13:30 So here I'm just putting eyeshadow dry right onto the outer corners of the lid.
13:42 A little bit of product does go a long way, especially with these darker eyeshadows.
13:46 So keep it contained like I said.
13:52 And we're just going to be blending that out with a clean brush afterwards.
13:57 But deposit the color in a small space.
14:00 So normally when I'm doing a smoky eye or using black eyeshadow I always like to do
14:04 the eye makeup first before I do the foundation.
14:07 But because we've already given her the base, just be very careful and remember to tap off
14:11 the excess amount of product.
14:13 So we're going to start at the bottom of the eye and go over that eyeliner with the
14:17 dark black eyeshadow.
14:18 So just look up.
14:20 And this is just going to clean up that line a little bit more, make it look a little bit
14:24 more smoked out.
14:25 Or you can make it more distinctive if you'd like.
14:27 But for this look we're smoking it out.
14:29 And it has this beautiful metallic sheen to it.
14:33 Just gives your eyes more dimension.
14:37 And remember it's going thin to thick so don't thicken up the inside too much.
14:41 And don't take it all the way in or you'll close off the eye.
14:45 And now for the finishing touch, our lipstick by LA.
14:48 It's called Grace.
14:49 And it's a nice bright red so it completes that sultry look.
14:54 The same color as your nails.
15:00 Oh it smells good.
15:03 Does it?
15:04 Mmhmm.
15:05 Nice.
15:06 People say that a really good red lip usually takes like 20 minutes.
15:17 Mmhmm.
15:18 So funny.
15:20 And a sultry seductive look.
15:27 So those were our three clean date night looks.
15:31 Be sure to check them out and I hope you like the video.
15:33 I'll see you next time.
15:45 (upbeat music)
