00:00 Hey guys!
00:01 So I'm so excited to finally bring you another makeup tutorial.
00:03 I know you've been waiting for quite some time.
00:06 So here it is.
00:07 This is for Mother's Day.
00:08 Specifically, when I was planning on doing this look, I wanted it to be a very springtime
00:13 lovely look.
00:14 It's kind of like a peachy pink look, and I'm not even sure what I'm going to name it.
00:19 This is what it looks like.
00:21 And I decided that I wanted to make it more for Mother's Day because I actually found
00:25 out that I had this palette.
00:26 I like forgot that I bought it.
00:29 And it looks like this, and it's called, I believe, Petal Pusher.
00:34 And it's from Lancôme, and I kind of wanted to create a look with the same colors that
00:39 you know, this one actually has.
00:41 So I kind of decided to just make a one palette look so that it was very simple.
00:46 Because I realize that not everybody is like me where you end up buying 70 different palettes
00:51 and then taking one color from each palette.
00:53 So I wanted to make it like one palette, one look, something very simple so that if you
00:57 are still looking for a Mother's Day gift for your mother, I think this is a really
01:01 great product.
01:02 They come in these little boxes.
01:05 I don't really remember how much they were.
01:07 I want to say they're like $49, but don't quote me.
01:11 I will link it down below if you want to purchase this exact one.
01:17 I do love to purchase Lancôme stuff from Macy's because they actually usually have
01:21 like a, especially during Mother's Day and stuff like that, like a free gift if you spend
01:25 like $30 I think.
01:28 And the free gift is enormous and it has like little mini skincare things like these and
01:34 they have mascara, lipsticks, it's great.
01:38 So it's not like you're just giving your mom a palette, you're giving her a lot more than
01:41 just one thing and it's lovely.
01:44 So I definitely recommend doing that.
01:47 And so if your mom doesn't, like is my mom I guess, and doesn't really do makeup all
01:52 too much and doesn't ever wear it, and if she does, she's somewhat clueless, show her
01:56 this video!
01:59 And you know, if you choose to buy it for yourself, hopefully this also helps.
02:02 Alright, so the first thing you want to do is prime your eyes.
02:05 And I'm going to be using this Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin, which is a little bit
02:11 more of like a shiny color just because I want to make sure it helps the color from
02:16 the palette that we're using stand out a little bit better.
02:19 And you just want to use a tiny, tiny amount and I'm usually going to recommend that you
02:23 use your finger just because brushes and such make it a little bit more difficult to work
02:28 with.
02:29 But all you do is just blend it out around your eye and just kind of pack it in and just
02:35 pat it.
02:37 And this will just make sure that your eyeshadow stays on longer and doesn't like crease or
02:42 look kind of gross throughout the day.
03:00 Now we're going to go in with the beautiful, beautiful gold color in this palette and we're
03:04 just going to take any brush that you have that is kind of like this shape where you
03:09 can pat the color in and just grab a good amount of the color and start kind of just
03:15 pushing it into your eye.
03:17 Just like this.
03:18 Now we're going to go in with this nice light kind of peachy pink golden shade.
03:45 I don't really know what to call it.
03:46 And you want to take a nice blending brush.
03:49 Now these brushes are usually kind of bristly and when you push down on them they kind of
03:53 spread out and the bristles go everywhere.
03:56 So that's what we want.
03:57 And you just want to lightly tap the brush so you have a little bit on there and then
04:01 tap off the excess so that it doesn't go everywhere.
04:04 And what you're going to do is kind of look down into your mirror and apply this in the
04:11 crease so that when you open your eyes you can see the pink, but when you close it it's
04:15 just kind of blended in nicely.
04:33 Now what we're going to do is take any pointed brush like this that can go into the crease
04:38 right here and create a nice line.
04:41 And we're going to take the nice taupe brown shade that's matte in the center and you just
04:47 want to take a good amount of that.
04:49 Don't pat off the excess.
04:50 And what you're going to do is you're going to open your eye and wherever it creases like
04:54 this and you see this little spot right here, that's where you're going to put it in.
04:59 So you're going to open your eye and kind of just follow that line right there.
05:24 Now you want to take any kind of brush that you can really blend this color out with.
05:29 This can be any kind of like, you know, little brush like this or I would even say you can
05:32 go even smaller.
05:34 But make sure it's clean, that's the important.
05:36 Take them and move them back and forth as if you're kind of just, just like spreading
05:41 the color around a little bit.
05:55 And after blending that color out well enough, what you're going to do is go back in with
06:00 the brush that we used to put on the pink.
06:02 And I just did that but my camera wasn't recording it so whoops, sorry.
06:06 But you take the pink, tap off excess the same way we did it, and just kind of rub it
06:10 really really lightly onto the eyes again.
06:15 Now I'm almost done but this is actually the point where I want to say that if you don't
06:19 feel comfortable with the following steps, you can definitely leave them out.
06:23 It's not really that important that you do them.
06:26 But this is just something that I kind of, I like to do.
06:29 It makes, I don't know, it makes me happy.
06:31 So I'm going to go ahead and take this first because it's a lighter color.
06:34 I'm going to be using the same brush for both of them.
06:36 And I'm just going to take this light, light, light, light pink and I'm going to apply it
06:40 in the inner inner corner right here to brighten up the eye.
06:44 This literally makes such a huge difference.
06:47 I'm going to do it on one eye and I want you guys to look at just how much more awake my
06:52 eye looks.
06:54 And how much more kind of brightness comes to my face.
06:58 So that's kind of why I like to do it.
06:59 I mean obviously you don't need to do it as intense as I do.
07:02 You could just, you know, give it a little touch like this one right here.
07:06 But it's up to you.
07:09 I know that sometimes, especially for work or something like that, I prefer to use something
07:14 matte like a, just a nice white color.
07:17 That works too.
07:19 Sometimes I even like to use a light powder.
07:21 You know sometimes you get those powders that are a little too light for you.
07:24 You could use them as highlights.
07:26 Now the next step includes using the taupe again and this really, really dark brown.
07:31 So we're going to be taking again this nice thin, thin brush.
07:33 It's kind of like an eyeliner brush but it looks like an eyeshadow brush.
07:36 So really anything that's thin and works for you.
07:39 Now I'm going to take the taupe color we've been using, that's the one that's in the middle
07:43 right here.
07:44 And what we're going to do is we're going to look up and place this lightly along the
07:49 lower lash line.
07:50 And this is just to create a little bit of a smokey effect and connect the look with,
07:58 you know, the entire eye.
07:59 So that the lower lash line looks like it fits together with the upper eyelid.
08:03 So what you're going to do is again, taking that really, really thin color, take that,
08:28 grab that darkest powder, tap off excess.
08:32 I cannot emphasize how important it is to tap off excess.
08:36 It's such a dark color, you could make or break this eye look.
08:39 Okay.
08:40 So what we're going to do now, close your eye and tap it along the lash line.
08:47 Don't blend, tap.
08:48 Now what
09:17 you're going to want to do is curl your eyelashes.
09:19 This is super, super important.
09:21 I know some people are scared of doing it, but it's really not as scary as people make
09:28 it out to be.
09:31 It makes an enormous difference in the way your lashes end up looking.
09:37 Now as of right now, one of my favorite mascaras is the bombshell volume from lash blast.
09:43 And the thing is, I only like using the first one, the number one.
09:48 Number two kind of ends up making my eyelashes sticky and I don't really like it.
09:53 But the first one is my favorite.
09:56 So that's what I'm going to talk to you guys and walk you through with today.
10:07 Now to balance off those eyes, I want to show you how to do the blush and the bronzer in
10:30 order to kind of balance out the face.
10:32 Because if you just do eyes, it's going to make everything else feel like it's kind of
10:36 like, "Oh my god, those eyes are so intense."
10:38 And the same way if you just do your blush and bronzer, your eyes are going to look like
10:43 very empty.
10:44 So what I'm going to show you is the two products that I used and then I'm going to fast forward
10:48 through it to show you exactly how I did this.
10:50 So basically there is two products I used, bronzer and blush.
10:53 For the blush I used Blissful, which is a 12 hour blush from a Tarte.
10:59 They're inexpensive, they're high end, but they last forever because you need so, so
11:04 little in order to get such a pigmented color.
11:07 Like it is crazy.
11:09 And they last for forever.
11:10 When you put it on, it's throughout the entire day and it's not going to disappear.
11:15 The next bronzer that I used was Chocolate Soleil from Too Faced, which is a little bit
11:20 pricey again.
11:21 It's like the 20's, you know, in the 20's.
11:24 But it is so nice.
11:25 It gives a very, very nice definition and it smells like chocolate.
11:31 Like literally I would bite into this.
11:34 I'm going to show you.
11:56 So for the lip liner I'm going to be using the NYX Nude Lip Liner.
12:20 You can get these at Ulta.
12:22 Sometimes they sell them at Target.
12:23 It doesn't sell at my Target, so I don't know.
12:26 Maybe you're lucky.
12:27 I'm going to just line my lips.
12:44 Now that we've done that, you pretty much have a base color.
12:48 The next lipstick I'm going to be using is actually from L'Oreal.
12:52 This is one of their long line, long wear lipsticks.
12:58 It's called Perpetual Peach.
13:01 This kind of goes along with our entire makeup look of having pink on the eyes and everything.
13:06 I want to use it, so I'm just going to apply it.
13:14 The next one I'm going to use is the L'Oreal Paris Infallible 8 Hour Le Gloss in the color
13:22 Sunset.
13:26 So yeah.
13:27 And I'm just going to focus that on the center lower lip.
13:37 Thank you so much for watching.
13:38 I hope you guys enjoyed this look.
13:40 I know that a lot of people when they end up buying high end palettes, they want to
13:45 know how to use them.
13:46 So hopefully this taught you how to use this palette and how to effectively create a look.
13:51 It's very versatile.
13:52 You can change it up as much as you want.
13:55 Do what you want with the colors and kind of adjust it to your wants and needs.
13:59 But hopefully this helped.
14:00 Thank you so much for watching.
