00:00 Hey guys, it's Alexis and today I'm going to do a makeup tutorial for when you've just
00:05 been through a really bad breakup.
00:08 You can see I'm starting with a clean face and I'm actually a little nervous about being
00:12 on camera without makeup.
00:14 Hopefully Ryan doesn't see this, but it's fine.
00:17 I'm using a different username.
00:18 So I have my hair pinned back because I don't want to get makeup on it, kind of like how
00:25 I used to hold Ryan's hair back so he wouldn't get vomit on it when he was in his Anthony
00:31 Kiedis phase.
00:32 I have my hair pinned back and I'm going to start with a primer.
00:36 Now, I like the Smashbox, the photo finish, and what's nice about this is if you have
00:43 a good high quality product, you don't really need much.
00:46 It really doesn't take much.
00:49 It really doesn't take much to show someone you care about primer.
00:59 Just smooth that on there, focusing on your problem areas.
01:02 Okay.
01:03 And then we're going to go right to the foundation.
01:07 I like the Makeup Forever HD.
01:10 It's another high definition, it's another high quality product.
01:12 And again, you don't need a lot.
01:16 You just want to start with focusing on building foundation of coverage, foundation of love
01:28 and coverage.
01:29 So we're going to start ... Oh, I use the Kabuki brush for foundation, which is a little
01:34 weird.
01:35 Most people use these for powders, but what can I say?
01:38 I'm unusual.
01:39 I'm not good enough to meet your family.
01:42 So go ahead and start just building the coverage slowly in the problem areas.
01:49 It's a soft brush.
01:53 It's a nice touch, like the gentle stroking of someone who you wasted two years of your
02:09 life with.
02:10 Maybe you shouldn't have moved in together so soon.
02:13 That's enough foundation.
02:14 We're going to go right to the eyeshadow.
02:18 Some people say you should do powder next, but I like to wait.
02:22 That way if you make any mistakes, you can cover it up.
02:26 Like deleting your text messages to other girls.
02:30 I'm going to be using the Naked palette, which I love.
02:39 I got it as a gift from somebody.
02:45 You want to start with a dark color.
02:50 I'm going to be using Dark Horse and we'll just get that on there.
02:54 You're going to start in the corner.
03:00 Put that on.
03:05 Hold it together.
03:07 Hold the brush together.
03:11 Okay.
03:13 The other side.
03:20 Line it.
03:21 When you're done with that, you can go right to a lighter color.
03:29 I like to just bag it on and burn all the way out into the crease.
03:43 Don't forget about the other side.
03:55 You're looking good.
03:56 That's my cat.
03:59 I have a cat.
04:00 Now mascara.
04:03 I like Boink.
04:04 It's this two mascara.
04:06 It works.
04:07 It's different than most mascaras.
04:09 It's unique.
04:10 It's weird.
04:11 It's like giving your lashes a hug that they really need.
04:17 Good thing about this is it's waterproof.
04:24 Not that you need that.
04:25 Make sure you dip the brush in.
04:29 Don't twist it.
04:31 Just dip.
04:32 Don't twist.
04:33 It's a mascara brush, not a knife into Ryan's heart.
04:42 That's great.
04:43 You put that down and let that dry.
04:45 You're ready for a second coat.
04:47 Now lips.
04:48 Oh, you're going to have beautiful lips.
04:52 It's going to be gorgeous.
04:53 No one's going to call you a cold fish.
04:55 This is the Sephora Lip Stain.
04:57 Nice alternative to lipstick.
04:59 Kind of like how Friends with Benefits is a nice alternative to a committed relationship.
05:05 Just going to pout your lips like you're going to have your first kiss as a couple at your
05:14 wedding you won't be having this fall.
05:19 It's gorgeous.
