Hey wutzup.
The short answer is the promote feature with Tiktok is not worth it. All this feature does is takes one of your videos and you pay money for it to get more views. For 1 of my videos I would get at most 289 views for $1. It's expensive.
It's really a way for Tiktok to get paid NOT you!
The only way it would be worth it if you really squeezed out all the value from the money you spend, so you earn more than what you're spending, that's not easy.
Even if you did that you would get more views for your money with Tiktok advertising, it's a better choice.
The way to squeeze out all the value, would be to use the video to promote a landing page where you would collect emails. Then promote multiple offers using email way into the future. Then it might be worth it. But you have to know how to do email marketing for it to work.
Email still works if you know what you're doing. There is even a way to start for free, with a free landing page.
Still, it's probably better to just make more videos and better videos, since they are very easy to make. How do you make better Tiktok videos?
One idea, is that whatever niche you're in sign up for Google Alerts and find out what is currently trending.
Then simply create a video talking about that topic. You're riding the wave, on whats already popular.
Tiktok even has a feature where there is a green screen and you can include a picture on what is trending on the background.
You could also find videos in your niche that are doing well and then use similar hashtags and make your length similar and learn from them.
Lastly, you can try using a hook (a reason for someone to continue watching in the beginning) stories are good and of course a call to action at the end.
But, doing something is better than nothing. Quantity has it's own quality.
