The Maharashtrian CKP community prepares the traditional dish Moogache Birde every Monday during the Shravan month. With few masalas and no oil, this curry is made from sprouted moong (green gram). This dal/curry with a dash of lime can be had all by itself like a soup too and needless to say, it is a nutritious dish.
