Bhaja Muger Dal is a Typical Bengali delicacy prepared almost in every Bengali Households. Bhaja Muger Daal is a Bong version of Vegan Lentil Soup prepared with neither Onion nor Garlic. Try this simple and delicious dal at home and post your comments below.

INGREDIENTS
1 cup moong dal
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp ginger paste
2 tbsp chopped fresh coconut
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp chilli powder
2 tbsp ghee
½ tsp cumin seed powder
3-4 green chillies
¼ cup fresh green peas
3 tbsp mustard oil
Sugar to taste
Salt to taste

METHOD:
- Wash the dal and let it dry
- Dry roast the dal in a pan till golden brown
- Add 2 cups of water and cook till done
- Heat mustard oil add the cumin seeds, ginger paste, chilli and turmeric powder
- Add the dal and cook and green peas and the chillies. Cover and cook
- Fry the coconut and add to the dal and serve
