Lauren Lyle sat down with SheKnows' Reshma Gopaldas to talk all about her new show, "Karen Pirie" and "Outlander." In her first starring role, Lyle looks back on her time on Outlander and tells us what she learned from Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan, that's help her lead her own show. She also discusses a memorable Outlander scene with Balfe and reveals it was filmed differently than how it aired! Plus, she tells us whether we will see Marsali back on Outlander for season 7.
Lyle laughs remember her very first day on the Outlander set: “I remember walking into the studios on my first day on Outlander, and being like, ‘Oh my God!’ like you couldn’t see, it was all so dark, everything was candlelit. And Caitríona and Sam – Caitríona, in particular was very intimidating! I remember being like, ‘Oh my gosh, she’s so beautiful and tall!’ And then I had to call her a ‘whore’ on my first day!”
On Karen Pirie, Lyle feels a responsibility to make sure everyone in the cast and crew are having a good time. She loves collaborating with her co-star and creator, Emer Kenny.
