00:0010 years ago, guys, take us back to that first day in Outlander boot camp.

00:17What were your first impressions of each other?

00:18Well, it was 11 years ago, Reshma.

00:21Don't shortchange us.

00:22I'm sorry.

00:24You're cutting our lives short.

00:2511 years ago.

00:27What was your boot camp like?

00:28Because he was in boot camp.

00:30I arrived late.

00:31We were segregated.

00:32They kept us apart, didn't they?

00:33Yeah.

00:34Do you think that was on purpose?

00:35Probably.

00:36They wanted to save that special sauce that there is.

00:40Yeah, we were in boot camp for, I think, a couple of weeks, and we did horse riding and

00:46manly fighting and growling, and we did lots of costume fittings and learning Gaelic.

00:52Did they teach you how to do all of your own sound effects at that boot camp?

00:56Yes.

00:57Was that what you learned at all?

00:58Yes.

00:59I had a moment recently where I had to shoot a gun, and I made the sound effect whilst we

01:01were shooting.

01:02Where's the sound effect?

01:03Oh, that's great.

01:04Where'd you come up with that?

01:06Yeah.

01:07It's good, huh?

01:08So, what were your first impressions of each other when you did see each other in boot

01:12camp?

01:13Well, we had met at our screen test.

01:16Yeah.

01:17Okay.

01:18So, we had met then.

01:20But actually, when I got to Scotland, I didn't really see much of you because all of my first

01:24stuff was with Tobias, so I had all this stuff with him, and I was in seven million

01:31fittings.

01:32But we went to London.

01:33Remember?

01:34We did.

01:35And we got our hair did.

01:36We got our hair did a lot, but I do remember sort of seeing you on set, coming on set,

01:42because I hadn't been on set because they were shooting all the Second World War stuff,

01:46and you were sort of saying, what a wonderful time you were having with Tobias, and it was

01:50all going so great.

01:52And then when we started shooting together, it was raining and cold, and it was pretty

01:56miserable.

01:57It just kept raining.

01:58And I did feel like slightly, I don't know, a sense of anticipation, because I was like...

02:01Like the second husband?

02:02Yeah, a little bit.

02:03Yeah.

02:04You were.

02:05Do you remember, like, one of the first days we were shooting together, and Sam, I was

02:10doing something, and Sam was watching on the monitor, and I came over...

02:15Eleven years.
