WEATHER BANE

Commuters are stranded while motorists navigate flooded roads in Manila brought by heavy rains on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) cited the presence of a low pressure area, formerly tropical depression 'Maymay', and another tropical depression named 'Neneng' that has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Thursday, causing rain in parts of the country, especially in Northern Luzon. Neneng is forecast to intensify while moving over the Philippine Sea and may reach tropical storm category by Saturday.
