No tropical cyclone expected in the Philippines next week, but rain showers, thunderstorms possible

00:04The heavy rain or southwest monsoon continues in a large part of Luzon plus western Visayas.
00:11So expect rain, especially here in the western sections.
00:14Meanwhile, based on our latest satellite animation,
00:18we can no longer see any weather disturbance,
00:20storm or low-pressure area inside and around the Philippine Area of Responsibility
00:25even though there are still clouds or cloud clusters
00:28that are part of the tropical cyclone or severe tropical storm
00:35with international name Maria,
00:37which is far from our land and is no longer affecting our country.
00:42For today, we still expect cloudy skies and rainy weather
00:46here in the western section of Luzon as part of the Ilocos Region,
00:49Zambales and Bataan due to the low tide.
00:53The nature of the rain there is very weak until just right amount of rain
00:57and sometimes it gets stronger in the afternoon and night.
01:00So be careful of possible floods and landslides
01:03and always follow our advisories and worst case, heavy rainfall warnings.
01:08Meanwhile, in the remaining part of Luzon,
01:10there are also rains of southwest monsoon.
01:13We have heavy rains in Batanes, Babuyan Islands,
01:17here in a large part of the Cordillera Region,
01:19especially in Abra and Benguet,
01:21Central Luzon, especially here in Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan,
01:26Metro Manila, we expect heavy rains,
01:29Calabarzon, Batangas and Cavite,
01:33and here in Occidental Mindoro,
01:35we expect occasional rains.
01:38There are times when it stops, especially in the late morning to afternoon,
01:42but the rains will return in the afternoon until the early morning.
01:46So make sure that you have an umbrella when you go out of your house.
01:50Meanwhile, in the remaining part of Luzon,
01:51here in Cagayan Valley, Eastern Sides of Bicol Region,
01:55plus Quezon,
01:56expect parts of cloudy to cloudy skies
01:59and there is also a high chance of heavy rains
02:01when the afternoon and night comes.
02:04Our temperature in Metro Manila is from 27 to 32 degrees Celsius,
02:08while in Baguio, it is still cold from 18 to 22 degrees Celsius.
02:13For our countrymen here in Palawan,
02:15mostly cloudy skies throughout the day
02:18because it is in the Southwest Monsoon,
02:20and there are occasional light to moderate rains,
02:22especially in the afternoon.
02:24While here in Western Visayas,
02:26expect occasional rains,
02:28occasional light to moderate rains,
02:30within the next 24 hours.
02:32And here in the remaining part,
02:34expect parts of cloudy to cloudy skies
02:37that are accompanied by occasional rains
02:39and occasional lightning and thunderstorms
02:41that last for 2 to 3 hours.
02:44Our temperature in Metro Cebu is 33 degrees Celsius,
02:48and in Palawan, it is up to 32 degrees Celsius.
02:51Meanwhile, for our countrymen in Mindanao,
02:53it is still early in the morning.
02:55Expect rains here in Zamboanga Peninsula
02:58and here in the provinces of Basilan, Solu, Tawi-Tawi,
03:02up to the provinces facing the Morogulf
03:05starting here in Milanao del Norte,
03:07all the way to Zanganit Province.
03:09Expect rains.
03:11Although it will not continue,
03:13it will continue, especially this morning,
03:15until the afternoon and late evening.
03:18For our countrymen in the remaining part of Mindanao,
