00:00There are still heavy rains in many parts of the country due to different weather systems.
00:06The first one is the north-east monsoon.
00:09It brings mild to moderate rains in the north and north part of the northern Luzon.
00:14The shear line or the line where the hot easterlies and cold monsoons meet
00:19brings heavy rains in the north part of the Luzon.
00:22There are also heavy rains and thunderstorms.
00:25While in the south part of the country, there is still the Intertropical Convergence Zone
00:30or ITCZ.
00:31This is the line where the wind blows from the northern and southern hemispheres
00:36and these cloud clusters can be seen in Barteng, Sulusi, and Palawan.
00:40This is associated with ITCZ.
00:43But this does not expect that there will be a storm in the next few days.
00:48In a large part of the Luzon, there are still heavy rains due to different weather systems.
00:53Light to moderate rains are expected in Batanes and Baboyan Islands.
00:57There are also moderate to at times intense rains in Apayau,
01:02in Cagayan, Isabela, Pababanang, Quirino, Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte.
01:08This is due to the shear line or the line where the hot and cold winds meet.
01:12There are still heavy rains in the northern part of the country.
01:15In a large part of Mimaropa, this is due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone.
01:20So be careful of possible floods and landslides.
01:23And if you go outside, make sure that you still have an umbrella.
01:27In the remaining part of the northern and central Luzon,
01:29there will also be an effect of the Northeast Monsoon.
01:31You can expect dry and light rains.
01:33While in Metro Manila and the rest of Calabarzon,
01:36it's partly cloudy to cloudy skies.
01:38And there is still a chance of dry and wet rains,
01:41especially in the afternoon and evening.
01:45For Metro Manila, the temperature is from 24 to 30 degrees.
01:48While in Cordillera Region, Baguio City, it will still remain cold from 17 to 24 degrees Celsius.
01:56For our Palawan people, the rains are the strongest for today
02:00due to the cloud clusters inside the Intertropical Convergence Zone.
02:04So be careful of possible floods and landslides, especially in the northern part of Palawan.
02:10In a large part of Visayas, at some point, there will also be rains.
02:13So prepare an umbrella and a raincoat.
02:16There is a high chance of rains in the eastern portions,
02:18including Eastern Samar, Leyte, and Southern Leyte.
02:22And at some point, in the western and central portions of Visayas,
02:25there will also be scattered rains and thunderstorms.
02:28Our temperature in Metro Cebu is from 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.
02:34And for our people in Mindanao,
02:36there will also be heavy rains due to the effects of the Intertropical Convergence Zone.
02:40There is a high chance of rains in Zamboanga Peninsula,
02:43Caraga Region, and Davao Region,
02:45especially in the provinces of Zamboanga del Norte,
02:48Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte.
02:50And at some point, in the remaining part of Mindanao,
02:53there will also be rains, especially in the afternoon and evening.
02:56So make sure that we have an umbrella,
02:58and always follow our advisories and heavy rainfall warnings.
03:03Our temperature in Metro Davao is from 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.
03:08Due to the strong north-east monsoon,
03:11we still have a gale warning here in the northern Luzon,
03:14as well as the northern Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur,
03:21south of Northern La Union, and western coast of Pangasinan.
03:25That is up to 5 meters, or at one and a half level of the house,
03:28above the waves.
03:30It is still dangerous for small sea vessels,
03:32especially for our fishermen.
03:34And in the remaining northern Luzon,
03:37up to 3.5 meters.
03:41And in Visayas and Mindanao,
03:43if there are thunderstorms, it is still possible to reach up to two and a half meters.
03:47And for the coming days, we will still have a gale warning
03:50and high waves in the northern Luzon, because of the rain.
03:56And for our today's weather forecast,
03:59or until the end of 2024,
04:01we will still have a cold here in the northern Luzon.
04:05That is still the effect of the northeast monsoon
04:07and the rainfalls in the remaining part of our country.
04:10Here in the northern and central Luzon,
04:13expect light to moderate rains,
04:15especially in the areas of Cagayan, Batanes, Apayao, and Isabela.
04:19That is the end of the northeast monsoon.
04:21While we still have moderate to intense rains in many areas of our country,
04:26that is still because of the shear line in the intertropical convergence zone.
04:29And it is possible to reach up to 200 millimeters,
04:33or heavy to intense, equivalent to the amount of rain,
04:36here in Cagayan, Itz, and Isabela.
04:39And expect moderate to heavy rains here in Apayao,
04:43Pababa ng Kalinga, Quirino, Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte,
04:47as well as Marinduque and Oriental Mindoro,
04:50along the shear line or the coast of Malamig na Amihan and Mainit na Easterlys.
04:54Here in Ibaba, expect 50 to 100 millimeters of rain by tomorrow
04:59in Palawan, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Dinagat Islands,
05:04Surigao del Norte, up to here in Zamboanga del Norte.
05:07That is still the effect of the intertropical convergence zone.
05:10So, be careful of possible floods, especially in low-lying areas,
05:14and landslides because it has been raining for several days
05:17in mountainous areas and those near rivers.
05:22When the last two days of 2024 comes,
05:25we can still expect rains.
05:27We will still experience moderate to heavy rains in Cagayan Valley,
05:31Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Oriental Mindoro, and Marinduque
05:36because of the effect of the shear line.
05:38And we still have scattered rains and thunderstorms
05:41in a large part of Mindanao and Eastern Visayas.
05:44It is not continuous, but sometimes it is strong.
05:47So, be careful of floods and landslides.
05:50And we still have a chance of light rains
05:53or moderate to heavy rains in the remaining parts of Northern and Central Luzon
05:57because of the cold Northeast monsoon.
06:00And the remaining parts of the country, aside from Metro Manila,
06:02are steadily part of the clouds,
06:04until the sky is still cloudy, accompanied by heavy rains
06:07or landslides.
