George Lopez is being slammed on social media for a recent post.
Comedian George Lopez is facing backlash for calling President Trump's children--including his 13-year-old son Barron--"anchor babies."
The controversy began when Lopez posted an image to Instagram labeling Trump's first wife Ivana and current wife Melania as an "immigrant" and all of Trump's children with them--Don Jr., Ivanka, Eric, and Barron--as an "anchor baby."
The comedian noted in the caption: "Uh , @icegov 'if your listening' you can find these immigrants at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave - Signed Enrique Enpanada the third."
Someone tweeted in response: "I agree with your stance on Trump &@ICEgov But not your instagram post, please leave Barron Trump out of it he a kid & he's off limits #You should know better."
Another person took a harder stance on Instagram, writing, in part: "This is a low blow not becoming of a mature adult man comedian or not... It's pathetic to be insulting of children."
TMZ asked Lopez about including Barron in the critical post.
"Is it fair to put kids in cages?" Lopez replied. "They're kids."
"You know what we can all agree on? Is that nobody is from here," Lopez added. "Immigration has always been a problem, and it will continue to be a problem, but only targeting Latinos is not good."
