The intelligence apparatus in the overthrown Iranian Shah’s regime, known as SAVAK was a complicated security system which for decades cast a shadow of fear and intimidation aimed at cracking down on dissent and revolutionary forces in the country. Mainly based on historical facts and accounts by the former interrogators and inmates both, the documentary tries to draw a clear picture as to how the organization tried to clamp down on the Iranian nation’s popular uprising, with relentless backing from such organizations as the CIA and Mossad.
