A Journey to Russia

Reflecting upon a travelogue by contemporary Iranian novelist Jalal Al-e-Ahmad, “A journey to Russia” aims to shed light on the rise and fall of the Soviet Union. Coming back and forth to excerpts from Al-e-Ahmad’s account about Moscow in the pinnacle of communism as well as the Cold War, the documentary deals with how lack of faith, as propagated by communism, combined with an American media and technological war brought the Soviet Union to its knees.
