Campaign Underway In Norway To Give Finland A Mountain Peak

A campaign is gaining momentum in Norway to shift its borders slightly in order to put the peak of Halti mountain in Finland.

Finland’s 100th year of independence is coming up in 2017, and a group in the neighboring country of Norway has the perfect gift in mind--a mountain peak.
The summit in question belongs to Halti mountain which has much of its slopes in Finland but ascends to its highest point in Norway. 
Thus, the handover would simply require that the border between the countries be shifted by just under 500 feet north and 650 feet east to make this happen.
