Australia's Great Barrier Reef Has Competition

After exploring the water's depths for the first time, scientists have recently found the coral, reefs, and sea life under Australia’s Wilsons Promontory Marine National Park to be as impressive as those found in the Great Barrier Reef.

The famed Great Barrier Reef may be a UNESCO World Heritage site, but another underwater area in Australia reportedly contains sea life that is just as spectacular. 

Scientists recently explored the depths of Wilsons Promontory Marine National Park and found reefs that are home to numerous types of fish, sponge gardens, sea whips, and coral.
