Ecuador’s right-wing protesters resorted to violence on Thursday night as they tried to break through police lines to interrupt the celebrations taking place in Independence Square. Security forces, however, prevented them from staging a confrontation with supporters of President Rafael Correa and the Citizens’ Revolution. teleSUR
