Lego Retracts Description Of Toy As ‘Window Licker’

Lego has issued an apology for describing one of its characters as “part back-of-the-bus window-licker,” a derogatory term for mentally disabled people, and has since deleted that wording from its website.

Lego recently faced backlash for a description of one of its newest toys.

The company’s website marketed the character figure named Turg as "an experiment that's gone very, very wrong!  Part frog, part chicken, part back-of-the-bus window-licker, this Mixel has the longest tongue of them all."

Mixels are a line of quirky characters it developed with the Cartoon Network, and Turg is a one-eyed version with four bottom teeth and a long, swooping tongue.
