Orphaned Orangutan Named Budi Meets Fellow Primate For First Time

An orphaned baby orangutan named Budi may have found a new friend. Prior to recent play sessions, both 15-month-old Budi and the other animal, 8-month-old Jemmi had never met a fellow orangutan before aside from their own mothers.

Budi, an orphaned baby orangutan made headlines a few months back following his rescue and now he's met another orangutan for the first time. Their reactions to each other are adorable.

Both 15-month-old Budi and 8-month-old Jemmi had never met a fellow orangutan before aside from their own mothers.

This is some much-needed fun time, particularly for Budi. For many months, he was kept as a pet, lived in a chicken cage and was only fed condensed milk.
Since his rescue, he has learned to chew solid food, walk and climb.

Given that he had progressed so much, rescuers decided to arrange the meeting with Jemmi and it went pretty well.

Of their first encounter, International Animal Rescue note
