Low-Cost Carrier Ryanair Will Offer Flights To The U.S.

The board of ultra-low-cost, Ireland-based carrier Ryanair has approved plans to offer trans-Atlantic flights between cities in Europe to up to 14 locations in the U.S. starting in about five years.

Irish based low cost airline, Ryanair, has just gotten approval from its board to begin operating Trans-Atlantic flights. 

The plan reportedly includes service between up to 14 cities in Europe including Dublin and Berlin and a similar number in the U.S. including New York and Boston. 

Initial flights are slated to begin in about four to five years which is the amount of time it could take to procure long-haul aircraft from plane manufacturers.

Regular one-way fares are estimated to start around $148. 

The company has called this move a “logical development in the European market.”
