She decided to set up a fundraising page for a 67-year-old man. Alan Barnes was mugged outside his residence on a recent Sunday night leaving him with a broken collarbone and afraid of returning.
Cutler hadn't met Barnes before the mugging but she seemed to be greatly impacted by what happened. Via the gofundme page she set up, Cutler noted that Barnes was born with a few defects including growth problems and sight issues.
On the site, she explained that Alan didn't feel safe at his own home after the mugging so she wanted to raise 500 British Pounds or the equivalent of about 750 US dollars to help him move to a new place where he would be comfortable staying.
