Man Finds Woman's Body While Shoveling Snow

A man in Niles, Illinois recently found the body of a woman underneath snow in front of her home. The woman has since been identified as 55-year-old Elizabeth A. Lutz.

A man in Niles, Illinois recently found the body of a woman underneath snow in front of her home.

Niles police were dispatched to the scene after a body was found by a man shoveling snow. Upon arrival, officers found the body of 55-year-old Elizabeth A. Lutz . She was positioned face down on the sidewalk.

Lutz was unresponsive and all attempts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful. She was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

The man who found her body initially thought he had uncovered a garbage bag but soon saw it was actually a person wearing thick winter clothing. There were no obvious signs of injuries or indicators of a struggle on Lutz’s body.
