Puppy Recovering After Knitting Needle Pierces Heart
At just 17 weeks old, one particular puppy has gone through a lot in her short life. The young Papillon named Tutti spent New Year’s Eve at the Triangle Veterinary Referral Hospital in Durham, North Carolina after falling on a knitting needle.

Prior to her arrival there, Tutti’s owners, Chris Shaw and Bradley Justice, had given her a bath at their home. Shaw explained “Brad had been knitting a Barbie-sized sweater and had put his knitting on the coffee table and we figure that she got a hold of it and possibly jumped off of our sofa. She went limp and stuck her tongue out.”
The two were devastated and believed she was dead; that is until Tutti suddenly looked up at them. They transported her to the veterinary facility where an x-ray reveal
