If you’ve never enjoyed a pumpkin pie from Costco, apparently you should.

In the days following Thanksgiving, Twitter has overflowed with posts touting the deliciousness of the store’s traditional holiday dessert.

One writer described it as being “life changing and cheep.” The pie costs only 5.99.

Another person declared that the baked good, "...Is her life."

There were also confessions.

A man admitted, “Everyone is raving about my mom’s pumpkin pie. But she buys it from Costco. And I can’t tell anyone. I feel like I’m living a lie.”

The warehouse giant is well aware of how much people love their pie. Every year they sell about a million of them.

To make that happen, the chain's bakeries nationwide work non-stop during the days leading up to the holiday.

In total, they mix up about 1.4 million pounds of eggs and over 700 thousand 6-pound cans of pumpkin.

At one facility in Washington, a worker told a reporter from the Seattle Times that she alone filled over 18 hundred shells in one night.

Watching them fly off of the shelves, said a long-time bakeshop employee, is, “instant gratification of a job well done.”
